Free Music Review: Rammstein again fills my head with lyrics i cant understand
Hit: 5 Stars

HAHA I NO THEY ARE GERMAN BUT EVEN WHEN I TRANSLATE I DONT UNDERSTAND, BUT I LOVE THE MUSIC ANY WAY!! THEY TRACKS ARE A MIXTURE OF REALLY HARD ROCK AND ROLL AND THEN A LITTLE UNPLUGGED, THIS IS SIMILAR TO SLIPKNOTS VOL 3 AND NIRVANA UNPLUGGED.
REISE REISE- this song isnt the best but the guitar and keyboard are phenominal!
MEIN TELL (TEIL)- if you translated the meaning of the title, it would really discust u.. but its good song, but it isnt the best
DALAI LAMA- filled with invigorating guitarism, and and creapy german words, best to play for ur 3 year olds birthday party.. haha
KIENE LUST- my favorite, the base sounding kindof aqua in the begining, gets replaced with powerfull industrial guitar sounds.. (i love this song, also maskau)
LOS- all acoustic, a good song still, but not good if your looking for suicide music
AMERIKA- pretty much these potheads getting mad at america because 1/4 the brand names in the world are american made, and so they all say we're all livinging in amerika
MASKAU- even though i cant understand the words till i think it through its a depressign song, all he's doing is arguing w./ a russian lady, he calls moscow a prostitute she fights back.. its a good song (my freinds favorite)
MORGENSTERN- a song about a morning start *the definition of morgenstern is morning star*, he again hates it and says it makes you ugly [girfreind or w/e]
STIEN UM STEIN- reminds me of saving private ryan.. enough sed..
OHNE DICH- really good softer rock, with an orchestra in the begining, best to play wen you find out your father is a woman.. *sniffle* (ohne dich means all alone)
AMOUR- really hard to listen to, it has no meaning, it is just saying everything they missed in the rest of the cd
ALL IN ALL I FEAL THE LEAD SINGER SUFFERS FROM CHRONIC SKITZO BUT STILL I LOVE THE BAND... AND I FEAL THAT EVEN THOUGH HALF THE SONGS ARE VERY DEROGATORY (IF YOU NO GERMAN LIKE ME) BUT STILL ITS A BEAUTIFUL CD.. BUY IT.. ITS GOOD

Free Music Review: There are some silly people in this world!
Hit: 5 Stars

I get a kick out of the reviews that begin "i'm a huge Rammstein fan", "love all their stuff", have everything they ever made", blah blah blah! I've read many reviews for Reise, Reise, and am baffled at these "die-hards" who whine that Rammstein's gone soft, that they've changed their style, it's not the Rammstein of the past, cry cry cry, boo hoo hoo! lol Could be you're all spoiled? Or maybe it's just no sense? But if anyone can honestly say after listening to the latest masterpiece from Rammstein that this cd doesn't kick total [...], I have some swamp land in Florida i'd be glad to sell you! :P Reise, Reise get's the show off to a heavy and worthy start before it's kicked up a notch with Mein Teil, easily my favorite track and surely the hardest rocking one on the entire cd. While kicking it back down a notch for tracks 3 & 4 (Dalai Lama & Keine Lust), they're still hard and heavy enough to keep up the furious pace! Track # 5 is the most interesting song on the cd, and possibly one of the best. Los is a mix of rock-a-billy/be-bop/boogie German style! And it definitely works folks! lol I guess this is what the "they've changed boo hoo" crowd was talking about? Regardless, this song is the perfect compliment as well a short breather for the heavy stuff coming up next. I imagine tracks 6 & 7..Amerika & Moskau..will be the most popular tracks on the cd? Not my 2 favorites however, but still hard and rocking enough to make them worthy of a place in the line-up. Track #8, Morgenstern, revs the show back up to it's earlier fury, followed by a slower but just as heavy track # 9, Stein Um Stein. Ohne Dich & Amour finish off the show in typical Rammstein fashion; the perfect encores to a really great and powerful cd! Reise, Reise may not be the best cd Rammstein has ever made (Herzeleid is my pick)? But it's certainly a great cd, from one of the truly great bands in the world! If you're a Rammstein fan, you're a fool if you don't pick this one up! 5 stars for AWESOME!

Free Music Review: Not Mutter, but one on it's own
Hit: 5 Stars

Yes, reading some comments made by other people I definitely agree on something: this album is not Mutter. But that doesn't mean it's bad, but it's amazingly good and trust me, one of the best albums out there.
If you're buying this album because you liked "Links 2 3 4" and "Du Hast" and never listened to other stuff, then don't do it. To my opinion (Rammstein fan since Sensucht, seen them twice and got the album 2 days before it's release date in Europe) this album may not surpass what Mutter left us, but it's still one great album that at least equals Mutter's quality and that can really represent what Rammstein is.
The most commercial song you'll get is Amerika, which was actually intended to be the most commercial track in the whole album, but still one that is great and will not be boring to listen to, as "Du Hast" or "Links 2 3 4" would be. Best tracks? well I must say that I automatically fell in love with "Reise, Reise", "Mein Teil" and "Ohne Dich". Other tracks may need more than one listen, specially if you're listening to it for the first time and comparing it with Mutter (I made that mistake).
It's not Mutter, but it's still Rammstein, and my only recommendation is not to make any comparison... each one is unique but still retains that Rammstein sound that I personally like.
And about one really ignorant individual who said that "Rammstein bit the hand that feeds them" I must answer to that single person, that you're a complete #$%&@, Rammstein doesn't need the U.S.A. to be succesful. They actually have more than enough with Europe and (yes believe it or not) Mexico to be succesful. I can't stand people saying that they can't stand critisism against their countries errors.
So one more comment before, if you're idiotized with the "God bless America" and "Our troops fighting for freedom in Iraq" stuff, save money and time and don't listen to it. You're way too brainwashed to objectively make an opinion.

Free Music Review: Precision metal from Germany's best
Hit: 5 Stars

First, let's explore a small detail concerning Rammstein in general. How has a German band that has refused to sing in English with the exception of "Stripped" from "Seinsucht" and a chorus from "Amerika" off "Reise, Reise" managed to commandeer such a prominent place in American metal?
For myself, the lyrics have never mattered. Some people like good lyrical content, others like the music, some like a combination of both. You can access Rammstein lyrics on the web easily. All I need is the stomp.
After a long day at work, or a need for an adrenaline boost to get you through heavy traffic in a big city, Rammstein provides the beat (which should never be overlooked) and the riffs. Yes, the lyrics sound funny, but the banks of guitars locked in tighter than the lid on a Mason jar full of radioactive waste are the big attraction. "Reise, Reise" also has a few tricks up its sleeve in addition to the martial beats and synthesizer atmosphere. An acoustic number that still manages to conjure up images of the Nazi Army parading in pre-WWII Germany (not that Rammstein should ever be compared to Naziism - you just gotta admire that precision marching), a somewhat clumsy attempt at a swing beat, and a slap at the US in "Amerika" spice this platter up. The best track for sheer power, however, is "Moskow". Here, the guitars are multitracked into one note riffing that is one of the heaviest guitar tones ever - it would embarrass Tony Iommi!
The drawback to any Rammstein CD is the lack of guitar solos. Obviously neither guitarist is eager to solo, but what few have made it onto CD were enough to convince me that at least one of them is a fine lead guitar player. Some ripping leads would go down real good. Other than that, "Reise, Reise" is stronger than its predecessor "Mutter" and the debut "Herzeleid", but not quite as catchy as "Seinsucht." Still, it's a headbanger worth the price.

Free Music Review: Better and Better
Hit: 5 Stars

I first heard of Rammstein when they released their second album, Sehnsucht. After that I bought their first one and gradually became a fan. In my opinion, they keep getting better and better. I can only wonder how theyr 5th album will be. Anyway, about the tracks on Reise, Reise:
1. Reise, Reise - Reminds me of Mein Herz Brennt, the opener of Mutter. Good song, good lyrics.
2. Mein Teil - Eerie song, I listened to it for days and days when the video was released (before the album hit the stands). Nice lyrics.
3. Dalai Lama - Longest song on the album, it's more like a story with musical background. Excellent lyrics.
4. Keine Lust - The "perviest" and hardest song on the album, said to become the next single.
5. Los - A necessary song, to chill off the hard riffs that appear on the album. Probably the "quietest" song ever made by Rammstein.
6. Amerika - Political song, "not a love song", like the lyrics say. A bit superficial, it reduces America to Coca-Cola and wonderbras, but it's pretty catchy. A must-be single.
7. Moskau - This one has a very good instrumental part and a bit of a rave feel to it.
8. Morgenstern - What I like in this song are the drums, they have this oriental feel to them that's one of a kind.
9. Stein Um Stein - Good song, good lyrics with a morbid touch.
10. Ohne Dich - The most beautiful ballad ever made by Rammstein (better than Nebel or Adios). Probably my favorite song on the whole album. Beautiful.
11. Amour - Another ballad, with especially nice lyrics.

My opinion: You've gotta get this album, even if you have or don't have the other three. It's the best so far. Every song could be a single. As its title says, the songs take you through a journey.. Each one is different.. It's like circling the globe in 50 minutes. And you can do it as many times as you want, in your own stereo.
