I live in a place where you grow up pretty much with everything country, and the new country is definately different than the old. Rascal Flatts does sound new, and not quite like the original country, but that's what makes it unique and able to listen to and enjoy. To disagree with some other reviewers, I do think the songs were written well (some more than others) and the vocals sound amazing, but the album wasn't "horribly written" and the vocals weren't "finger nails on a chalkboard" obviously, or else they wouldnt even have a new CD. Also, I don't think the people who described the CD as "terrible" really know how country is, or what it's supposed to sound like, because according to their reviews it makes them sound like they've never heard country before, and one day found a country CD and decided that it might be good, and they might have ended up being one of those who don't like this type of country, and just decided to give up on it completely without really understanding that this CD has some of the best country potential. I think that this album, "Feels Like Today," is one of the best new country albums yet.Free Music Review: THE BEST country music band ive heard!

i loved this band right from the start...i have all three cds and i cant wait to get the fourth...this is by far there best (however, that may change once i hear the fourth cd)
they have many fun, fast paced songs, and then the heartfelt melodies that just make you stop and listen...my faves are "Fast Cars and Freedom", "Here's to You", and "Holes"...
but my all time fave is "Sarabeth (Skin)"...the first time i heard this i cried, and the video made me cry even more...it is such a sweet song and i find it very hard to find a song that is:
1) not only heartfelt, but
2) does not contain booze, ladies shaking their butts, or anything that has to do w/ women giving themselves a bad name, and
3) makes me cry just listening to it
a great album for Rascal Flatts fans and country/pop lovers...oh thats another thing i like...they are not just country or just pop, but are seemingly blending the two together, maybe transferring more so over to pop every album, but still a great album...get it if you love the band!

Other Country Artist who sing Just About Bs on track 1 then on track 2 they sing about there wife Leaving them opps then come's track 3 my dog is dead Blahhh Blahhh thats wut i say to other artist who never actualy take time in there song's
Rascal Flatts New Album Is A Must Get Listen Through Start To Finish Its a Must ... dont take a Canadian Boy's Advice cause u will just have to wait and see to understand the movement and just the enjoyable Music Rascal Flatts make's

Rascal Flatts holds their claim as the hottest vocal group in country music with their latest album, FEELS LIKE TODAY. The album, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Country chart and Pop chart, has sold more than 2 million copies since its release in 2004. FEELS LIKE TODAY is a direct reflection of where the band is musically and personally. A great combination of traditional country sounds with a pop flare appeals to all country music lovers, young and young at heart. With ballads such as the "Bless the Broken Road," "The Day Before You," "Holes," the title track, and the hidden track "Skin," Rascal Flatts reveals a truly emotional and realistic view of life and love. This is my favorite band. Their music covers a scope of emotions to love lost, love found, happy and sad days, and Jesus. I wouldn't consider them a Christian band but I think they are inspired by god to make some of their music so they feel the need to sing about it. You will find a few Christian oriented tracks on each CD. You would have to pay attention to the lyrics to realize this though.
Their music is outstanding. If you are new to Rascal Flatts or are considering buying this CD for a friend then buy with confidence! They have received several awards and have had a ton of top 10 songs on the radio. For people that dont like country very much but want to explore it a little Rascal Flatts is a good start. I consider them new age country. They only have a bit of twang.
The album its self is one of their greatest. I highly recommend it!
