In my opinion, Raul Malo has the most beautiful male voice in music today. His voice, timeless classic songs, and an impeccable production add up to a treasure of an album.

What a musician this man is. I absolutely love this album. I have played it now several times a week since I bought it when it was first released. I find myself singing along trying to imitate this fantastic voice that was the front for the Mavericks for so long. This CD continues to impress me, the more I listen to it. It is one thing to produce a concept album, but it is not so easy to have it come out all of a piece. Each song is totally unique but yet, they all seem to flow together. And then you have one of the most beautiful voices ever. You won't be disappointed. What a voice - smooth as satin and rich as chocolate... Malo takes on some country classics here on an effort that could have been recorded by Patsy Cline not so many years ago. Anyone wanting to kick off your shoes, sip a glass of wine, and cuddle up with the one you love is guaranteed to be more than satisfied with this one! I first heard Raul Malo's singing on the Gram Parsons Grievous Angel tribute. To say Raul Malo has a voice blessed by angels is hardly an overstatement. On 'After Hours' you'll find many a familar tune paid due respect by this gifted vocalist. Sincere adaptions one and all. Anytime, anywhere, it just has to be good listening. Enjoy.
