first off i stumbled upon this because every month or so i try to buy something ive never seen or heard before and these guys won out over my other options because i wanted to see what 2 white guys in the rock/pop section of my store (camp foster bx okinawa REPRESENT) did that would inspire cee lo and bigg gipp to make guest appearancesthose guys barely hold their own next to brooks and danny boone first off back in the day when all we had was rage and the beasties and a few others THIS is what we envisioned when kids like me who thought metallica and ice cube were two sides to the same coin fantasized about when we envisioned a rap/rock genre not fred durst spitting weak rhymes to good rock music, not crazy town doing it all weak, and NOT tommy lee with dreds
rehab(at least the harder parts of the album) and a few others (linkin park and cypress hill come to mind) have been able to provide solid lyrics and tight music LYRICISM LYRICISM LYRICISM i cant stress enough the quality of lyrics on this album and for all the naysayers who love to spew "all they do is cuss and talk about drugs" lemme just say check out the scarecrow song that's right they rap about being scarecrows AND IT IS FRIKKING TIGHT it's deep even A SONG ABOUT BEING A SCARECROW yeah let that simmer for a minute
lyrics, production, not to mention versatility rock,hip hop,country,lounge? YES EVEN LOUNGE
brooks and danny boone use their music to take a look back at the mess that is their past and shake their heads and laugh some of us are living this album right now some of us will have more of a fear of drugs than any dare program could possibly inspire some will see these 2 as pathetic but everyone be they a metal or hip hop head everyone will find something they like here
bottom line
you've heard stuff like this album
but all that crap pales in comparison
this is the one we were looking for
