Free Music Review: Brilliant Remastering

RTF is one of the greatest groups of musicians out there, period. They really brought "fusion" to a whole new level. That being said, this collection of tracks (from the second phase of the band) sound as fresh today as they did years ago. The remastering of these tracks are great, and don't affect the warmth of the original recordings, but in fact heighten the slamming backbeat of Lenny and Stanley, while bringing Al and Chick to the forefront.
Check out RTF's first two remasters as well. Good music to last for generations to come...

If you've heard the original tracks this blows them away. The new technology and standards really show up on this recording. The dynamic range is awesome and needs to be heard to be appreciated. We have the original recordings and put them up against the newly remastered/remixed ones here and that's where you can really tell the difference. And the price is unbelievable. To get this much great music for this priced is too good to pass up. See if you don't agree.Free Music Review: SUPERB!

Sounds great, and (as far as I can recall), covers just about all their work on two CDs, for a very low price. This is the early tough, complex raw fusion (as well as the more restrained- but every bit as complicated, and intricate stuff from "Romantic Warrior") that sounds as if the guys wanted to wipe the floor with all the other players out there at the time! This anthology gave me a chance to get all of Return to Forever important music in one CD. I am not talking about a the best of CD because they are not usually as inclusive as this CD proved to be. The producer of this CD has to get special props because of the way the tracks flowed together. You know the question what would you take if you were going to be stranded on a deserted island...? This would be the one and only album I would ever need. It never gets old and is the only CD in my car CD player. In fact it never leaves my CD player and I listen to it almost every day since it was first released. Best album ever!
