Free Music Review: The Sweet Sounds of Nerds
Hit: 4 Stars

This soundtrack is AWESOME! The only thing it's missing is the Nerds Rap, from when they win the talent show. There is a song on there that has the rad electric violin, etc., parts in it. . .but it's not the same without Lamars singing. All in all this is REALLY worth it, because there are some GREAT songs on here that you probably wouldn't be able to find most places. Definitely not iTunes! I looked! :) Get this and dance til you drop.

Free Music Review: Decent, with two understated 80s electro classics.
Hit: 4 Stars

I'd personally buy this CD just for "They're So Incredible" by Revenge (not the one-off New Order band with Peter Hook), which is "covered" by Lamar and the boys during the Greek Festival, and "One Foot in Front of the Other", which is played during the clean-up scene. The rest of the CD isn't too bad, but the obvious highlights are those two killer singles.

Free Music Review: Nerds in Paradise Soundtrack?
Hit: 4 Stars

Does anyone know if there is an existing "Nerds in Paradise" soundtrack? I am actually searching for the last song that plays during the credits. I can't seem to find it, or any information on the soundtrack anywhere. CAN SOMEBODY HELP ME??? I'd really like to know the name of that last song! Nerdtacular!

Free Music Review: "Disappointing in a way, but worth buying."
Hit: 3 Stars

There are both positive and negatives about this soundtrack. First, we'll go over the negatives. Queen's "We Are The Champions" and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra playing "We Are The Champions" are not on the soundtrack. That is disappointing since those pieces went right with the ending of the film, and were fantastic. Michael Jackson's "Thriller" and the Talking Heads "Burning Down The House" are not on the sountrack, but that was suspected. Those songs were making a bundle as singles at the time and on their own albums they came from. Still, they went well with the film. Another negative thing is on the song "Revenge of the Nerds", we don't here Oger screaming "Nerds!" as in the film. In each song, also, we here additional lyrics in the songs, as they were not featured in the film. But that is okay. Yet, it is still a fun album. You can't resist songs like "Revenge of the Nerds" and "All Night Party". The best song on the album is "Right Time For Love". It's a perfect slow, love song. It also is not surprising that David Pomeranz was one of the writers of the song. No one can beat his brilliant style of love songs. Why his own albums are not available in the US is anyone's guess. He has a powerhouse voice. If you don't like the "Revenge of the Nerds" song, I would buy this soundtrack just for "Right Time For Love".

Free Music Review: Makes today's "nerd" movies look self-righteous
Hit: 3 Stars

Seems like just yesterday that Poindexter was on the violin, and Louis and Gilbert would be joinin' in......."

Today's nerd movies rely on cheap sex jokes, heavy partying, gorgeous blondes, and boisterous jocks to make a statement....uh, wait.....actually, so does this movie, but it's still pretty cool!! With a surprisingly touching, very universal message and scene at the end (nerds deserve a chance in mainstream society), Revenge of the Nerds Part I rocks. All other movies like this afterward were mere imitators (especially the sequels to this monster). In 1984, however, the makers of this movie just wanted to have some fun, and that's reflected in the killer soundtrack, a totally new-wave, snyth-driven gem that pretty much anyone can enjoy - even the mean-spirited and stupid Ogars of the world. Sure, they could have included the Queen song and a few others, but those overplayed songs would simply take away from the unique 80's vibe that this soundtrack possesses. If you're a child of the 80's, you'll dig this sound.

NERDS UNITE!!
