Free Music Notes for Rhythms del Mundo: CubaFree Music Review: good addition to the play list Hit: 5 StarsThis has been a really good disc added to my old collection of music. It keeps making it to the top of my stack of Clapton, SRV, and other guitars. It has a bunch of variaty and some familiar sounds to it to make it feel right at home. It also helps me to escape the daily grind of comuting in trafic. Roll down the windows, turn up the heat, and play at full volume to get the feeling you ar on a beach in the tropics.
Free Music Review: BUY IT! Hit: 5 StarsI bought this CD after hearing only one song on the radio, "Clocks" by Cold Play. Fortunately, the rest of the CD is just as good. Great morning music, if you really want to wake up! It's very energetic and makes you want to dance along with it. My husband and I enjoyed "discovering" Omara Portuondo, who does a great Spanish language version of "Killing Me Softly With His Song" that is every bit as good as the original by Roberta Flack. Too many good tracks to list them individually -- just buy it! It's great!
Free Music Review: Very cool! Hit: 5 StarsI ordered this cd as a birthday gift for my 23-yr old daughter, who heard about it on NPR. I got one for myself too! The sound is so cool...I especially like the way they incorporated the latin sound into Sting and Coldplay and U2...who's a thunk it??!! One of my new faves. (And she loves it too!)
Free Music Review: Hits and misses Hit: 3 StarsThere are some outstanding cuts on this CD and some that just should have been left off. You might want to just download the ones you like after listening to the CD.
Free Music Review: Superb mixing of Latin and Rock rhythms Hit: 5 StarsFor those of us who love Latin Jazz, NY Salsa and also enjoy Rock this is a rare gem of a CD mixing the music of Sting, Coldplay, U2, Maroon5 and others with a fine variety of cubans rhythms. Not all tracks are great, but the good ones more than justify owning this record!
