Free Music Notes for Port of MiamiFree Music Review: I enjoy more than half of this cd.... Hit: 3 StarsI really like songs that "don't" start with " Now, this is for the ladies"... I am hard core rap, learn the words or get out... !! I love this cd... turn it once, you've got the song, turn it again, another good one... Rick Ross has jazzy fizzle...
Free Music Review: Can't stop listening to this one Hit: 5 StarsThis CD has been in the car for over a year now, and I am just getting around to writing the review, because I couldn't pull myself away from listening to it. If you like bumping your music loud enough for everyone on the block to hear it, this is your CD. If you got the upgraded speakers/subs in your car, this CD is for you.
His voice, coupled with a ton of nasty beats really hits the mark on Port of Miami. Every track is worth a listen, and while some are significantly better than others, you can truely enjoy them all of them.
"Just know I'm smokin' them loud blunts"
Free Music Review: go live under a bridge in Miami. Hit: 1 Starsthis album... ugh where do i begin... *puts beer on the CD* well at least I'm doing something right. this album is worse than bad. It shouldn't even be an album, its just horrendous. As general as i sound, there really isn't much of detail to go into this. He has one single on here "Hustlin" that is supposedly popular, but i live in Miami and this song is still hardly popular. Pitbull is more of fame down here than this Mr. T lookalike. Stay clear of this album, in fact if you're thinking of downloading it, think twice and don't bother. Grinding forks and knives on a plate has never sounded so soothing compared to this crock of garbage. I guess i should be grateful that this CD was given to me instead of me stooping as low as buying it, but i feel more insulted than grateful... i would have rather had the previous owner just leave burning dog doo at my doorstep instead of giving me this nonsense, because this CD is really that bad.
for the record, "hustlin" is probably the most ruined cliche that these rappers can continuously mention. in fact, any rapper that coins this "hustlin" under their belt you can assume safely that its not worth the time.
if you were expecting a fresh hot rapper, look somewhere else. Decent Miami rappers are sporadic. Pitbull is a horrible rapper, but his nonsense is marketable, along with his background. hopefully this is the last idiot rapper coming out of this city in a while.
Free Music Review: Push It To The Limit Hit: 5 StarsRick Ross burst onto the scene in the summer of 06 with his undeniable hit 'Hustlin'. It soon became the anthem of the summer; an ode to getting money and grinding. Port of Miami soon followed and what an album it would be. There's a reason you heard Rick Ross blaring out of stereos, TV's, and radio's last year. The album is, simply put, a hood classic. The production is just off the chain; handled by The Runners, Cool & Dre, Akon, Mario Winans, DJ Toomp, Jazze Pha and others. Rick Ross' rhymes are on point as well despite what the haters believe and every song is not about selling crack either. The subject matter is the usual fare; money, drugs, women, life, being the best. The few guests that show up do well and they are mostly on the hooks; Mario Winans, Lloyd, Lyfe Jennings, Akon, Rodney, Young Jeezy, and JayZ.
My favorite songs include It's My Time ft. Lyfe, Get Away, Cross That Line, Hustlin, Push It, For Da Low, White House, Pots & Pans. Really there isn't a song on the album that I don't like. This album is still in rotation for me a year after its release and I believe it was one of the best albums of 06. If you ain't up on it yet get up on it. 5 stars.
Free Music Review: Great start! Don't like any of the beats in the middle. Hit: 4 StarsThe Intro, Push It, Hustlin, and others are great songs. But after Cross That Line (great beat!), the rest of the CD isn't worth too many spins. I like I'm a G and Street Life but this one is a borrow, not buy.
I got it for like $13 at Circuit City.
