Free Music Review: I had no idea he was so talented!
Hit: 4 Stars

I feel late. I have heard Rick Ross's music on the radio and seen his videos on television a number of times but I never bothered giving him the time of day because I was never taken in by his rhymes. However, I wanted to see what he was about because I hear people singing his praises. I listened to "Trilla" in its entirety and I was truly impressed by his talent. He has a way with words, nice hooks and an energetic delivery. He spoke on many subjects like his childhood and his struggle in addition to the typical rapper subjects (money, drugs, cars and women.) "Trilla" is a worthwhile listening experience and I'm glad I gave him a chance.

One thing that really brought this album out is the guest appearances. Rick Ross collaborated with some of my picks in music including the amazingly talented Jay-Z, Nelly, Lil' Wayne and R. Kelly. These men really did a great job. "Luxury Tax" is an incredible track which features Lil' Wayne, Young Jeezy and Trick Daddy. They all do a nice job but Lil' Wayne easily steals the show on this track. The beat is good and so is everyone's delivery. "We Shinin'" and "Here I Am" are also great moments on this album. Many of the beats found on this album are basic studio beats but they somehow are very befitting to Rick Ross's style. While I usually turn my nose up at lazy beats, I like them when Ross is rapping over them for some reason. On "I'm Only Human", Rick Ross shows a more sensitive side of himself. He says that he wishes that his dad was present at his football games and is really pouring his heart out throughout the duration of the song.

I highly recommend this album to those who love Southern rap and a good flow. I will continue listening to Rick Ross because I see how gifted and "trill" he is. This album is a job well done.

Mikeisha's Top 5

1. "Luxury Tax"
2. "I'm Only Human"
3. "Trilla Intro"
4. "We Shinin'"
5. "Maybach Music"

Free Music Review: Rick Ross MI YAYO - 5 Stars

I liked this album, although have to agree with other reviewers that it got monotonous towards the end and that Devin the Dude's latest albumSmoke Sessions, Vol. 1is pure dope and a must buy

Free Music Review: ROSS THE BOSS
Hit: 5 Stars

Rick Ross is the Boss I will not lie. This CD is very good, but I just listened to the album "All Eyez On Us" by G-Unit and Whoo Kid and I have to say I immediately had to buy it after I bought Thrilla. I am listening to them both right now and I must say even thought they are both awesome I'm gonna give the edge to "All Eyez On Us" for sure.
