Free Music Notes for Myths & Legends Of King Arthur & The Knights Of The Round TableFree Music Review: TMALOKAAHNOTRT??? Hit: 1 Stars'Bombast!' the famous pianist Richard Wakeman cried out. 'I put out a great album with orchestra and choir on it, and they call it bombast!'
The record people nodded.
'But I'll get 'em', Wakeman continued grimly. 'Here comes another one. With even more bombast on it. They want bombast, bombast is what they'll get!'
The record people nodded.
'I'll call it Bombast', Wakeman concluded triumphantically.
The record people nodded.
And so it came out. It was called The Myths and Legends of King Arthur and His Knights of the Round Table. Well, the record people said, we can shorten it to TMALOKAAHKOTRT. But, they all agreed, that didn't mean much. Certainly not more than the music.
Free Music Review: rick wakman rocks Hit: 5 StarsThis is music I listened to as a kid and am overjoyed to find it again. You have to enjoy a combination of new age and choir in order to appreciate the story being told.
Free Music Review: An admirable homage! Hit: 5 StarsThis masterwork stands out even the elapsed years as one of the most fervent, overwhelming and majestic creations of this brilliant musician as Rick Wakeman really was. "The myths and Legends..." meant for him, the concretion of a long expected dream in the soul and minds of many people around the world about the most significant myth in the Western hemisphere.
An admirable tribute and a priceless musical document for the next generations to come. Don't miss it!.
Free Music Review: Interesting and Beautiful Hit: 4 StarsSomehow I missed this one when it was first released. I fell in love with "Merlin The Magician" when it appeared in the Winter 2008 edition of Piano Today. After listening to the whole CD, I like other pieces from the work even more (Guinevere, Lady Of The Lake). Though the Moog (Mellotron?) makes it sound a little dated, it's still very listenable, and it'll be nice to play on a rainy afternoon. Though Wakeman was a member of Yes, I think this is going into the CD rack next to the Moody Blues' Days of Future Passed.
Free Music Review: Ahh Mr Wakeman !!! Hit: 4 StarsNot as inspiring as Six Wives of Henry the 8th, but fun to listen to.Wakeman's "Yes" era was definately a major influence....and a great aural jouney...take the time to listen and enjoy !
