For you nay-sayers out there, true, Rihanna does not have the "best" singing voice in the world (if by BEST you mean a 3 octave range and a penchant for over-singing EVERY NOTE). What she does have is a unique vocal tone that supplies the perfect attitude (icy and cool, yet, sweet and soulful) to each song on "good girl gone bad." Speaking of songs, there hasn't been a stronger, more diverse collection of HIT SINGLES on one album since Michael Jackson's "THRILLER." That is a bold statement, but it is absolutely true (even more so for the RELOADED version). At 6-7 hits (I've lost count) on this album alone, RIHANNA will never be considered a one hit wonder or merely a fluke. Although time will tell if she has staying power, one thing is indisputable: for now, this "girl" is a phenomenon.Free Music Review: Rihanna is HOT!!!

I got a chance to listen to this CD while I was on vacation, driving around the city of Atlanta (it was my daughter's CD). I had heard a few of her songs on the radio & I liked what I heard but I couldn't say that I was a fan, that is, until I purchased this CD!! Rihanna's voice is very unique which is a plus for me and her songs generate a positive energy! I wish I could give this CD more than five stars because she deserves it! Generally, one buys a CD and only likes to listen to one or two tracks. With Rihanna's CD "Good Girl Gone Bad" every track is different and , I think sets a new genre for music. It crosses over from R and B to light rock. A great deal of thought was put into the order of the tracks. The lyrics are full of meaning. It is a compilation of love songs, angst and confusion. I am 48 and an old rock n' roller. This CD is a crossover for me. I would highly recommend this CD.Free Music Review: Rihannna's CD ROCKS!!!

I bought this few years back and I have to say It's a good CD
I like the beats and the lyrics
I hated the part were I had to buy the reloaded to get the extra tracks and now I have 2 copies of the CD, the original one and the reloaded one
The DVD disc that is included, it's written on the back 5.1 Dolby digital but It's not it's just stereo
but overall I'm happy with it.

Free Music Review: Cross over appeal.

Although this album is heavily produced (you thought those paragraphs in the CD insert were lyrics to the songs--No, they're just the endless credits!) it has major cross-over appeal. It has radio-friendly pop (I thought 'Shut up and Drive' was sung by Pink until I came across Rihanna.) and even the hard-to-classify World beat of 'Lemme Get That'. A lot of variety and one of those CDs where you will like most of the songs on the first listen.
