Free Music Review: MUSIC OF DA ISLANDZ!!

I think Rihanna is REALLLY great reggae female singer. I lived in da islandz(808 STATE BABY!!!) I think it's time a singer from da islandz and sings reggae with R&B. I don't know why but she reminds me of Ciara but more reggae feel kinda better cuz she has better vocals personally.
Pon De Replay- A REAL CLUB BANGUH!! There is no chance you can't dance to this. You probz heard in every club in da world. It really has a great bass and the words are addicting.9/10
Here I Go Again- This song really has a laidback Carribean beat. I can really hear this on a beach for a party or somthing. The lyrics are really deep and actually mean somthin. 8.5/10
If It's Lovin that You Want- I think this song is really hot and again has the laidback Carribean beat. The percussion and gutair is hot in the background. Great song mixed with reggae and R&B. 9/10
You Don't Love Me( No,No,No)- I know someone sang the orignal of this but i forgot who sang this. But, still Rihanna sounds kinda better. Vybz Kartel gives the song a lil' hip-hop flava in it. 8/10
That La,La,La-This song kinda reminds me somthin Teairra Mari would do or somthing but personally Rihanna s wayyyy bettah. The beat is simple and the lyrics really match. Her vocals sound futuristic kinda. 8/10
The Last Time- This song is DA BOMB!!!! The acoustic gutair is HOT and the lyrics are mature but innceont at the same time. It's a beautiful R&B song bout a breakup and it's gonna be da last time they see each other. 10/10
Willing To Wait-It's a gentle R&B song about a young girl that's being pressured to do sex but she wants to do it slow. Her vocals are simple and the beat as well.
Music of the Sun- This is probz the BEST reggae song in a LONNGGG time. The acoustic gutair is the da bomb and Rihanna is fantastic on this. The lyrics are simple and the beat is hot!! It's somethin u'd play on da beach. Her vocals are perfect! 11/10
Let Me- She's try to be naughty in this song but she's more like playful in this. It's hip-hop but it has somthin Arabian in it haha Her voice sound great on this and she doesn't overdo as well. 9/10
Rush- Kardinal and Rihanna does STRIGHT dancehall and the reggae feel is soooo there. Her voice gets off sometimes but the is soooo bangin and hot it practically doesn't even matter!!! 9/10
There's A Thug in my Life- I don't know why but I think this song's beat got it from Blackstreet's Don't Leave Me. I really love this song cuz it has hip-hop R&B flava. This song is really for the teen gurlz cuz at least once in their life they want a bad boi.(LIKE ME :) The lyrics are hot and her voice really blends in it. 11/10
Now I Know- This is song is kinda like a balled. It's lovely and very touching but I don't listen to it that much. You kinda got to be in the right mood for it. 8/10
Pon De Replay (Remix)- This is pretty much like that original xcept the coming of Elephant Man!! I kinda like this bettah cuz it gets more energetic and exciting. Elephant Man gives it even more dancehall flava. 9.5/10

Thanks to multi-platinum island-born superstars like Sean Paul, Shaggy and Elephant Man, the mainstream has been primed for a rhythmic female star to step into the forefront of popular music.Besides ripping traditional reggae tracks like a seasoned dancehall queen, the stunning 17-year-old Rihanna possesses a powerful singing voice that conjures up feelings and experiences way beyond her years. It's no wonder that all it took was a quick audition with Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter, President and CEO of Def Jam Recordings, for the green-eyed beauty to solidify a recording contract with the multi-million dollar record company. While that performance ended up changing her life forever, the sweet natured island girl laughs at her own naiveté at the time. "I was in the lobby shaking!," remembers Rihanna with a healthy dose of her Bajan accent hanging onto every one of her words. "I saw just a little bit of Jay's face down the hall and I was just like, 'Oh my God!' I had never met a celebrity, and to meet a celebrity who's also the president of the label, that was crazy!!"Luckily Rihanna was able to shake the jitters as soon as she started her impromptu showcase, a performance that forced her future label bosses to sign the deal before she walked out of their offices. "We were there until 4:30 in the morning closing the deal. Every time I signed my name I was just smiling."Growing up in the parish of St. Michael, Barbados, it never occurred to Rihanna that one day she would be sitting in the company of mega music moguls. Before moving to the US in 2005, Rihanna lived somewhat of a simple life on her home island where she attended high school and like most teenage girls sang songs for fun with her friends. Aside from winning her school's beauty and talent pageant, Rihanna never realized how talented she really was until she attracted the attention of a New York City music producer named Evan Rogers. (Evan and his partner, Carl Sturken, have produced hits for such artists as Christina Aguilera, Ruben Studdard and Kelly Clarkson.) Evan and his Barbadian wife Jackie were vacationing over Christmas near Rihanna's hometown and through a mutual friend were introduced to the young diva. After hearing her belt out a couple of tunes Evan realized Rihanna's future star power and invited her to New York to record some tracks.Rihanna, Evan and Carl ended up creating close to a dozen songs.
