Free Music Notes for Goodnight Vienna

Free Music Review: Yay!
Hit: 5 Stars

Ah, another Ringo gem. Great, wonderful and fun songs. Goodnight Vienna is a great title track. It is followed by the fun and brassy "Occapella", which is quite a fun tune. Ringo's voice was often seen as a last resort for The Beatles, but on a track like "Husbands and Wives", no one could have done it better. His deep baritone sound makes the lyrics more poignant than ever before. "Snookeroo" and "No No Song" are two more really fun, happy Ringoish numbers. "Only You" is a very pretty rendition, and the reprise of "Goodnight Vienna" is a great capper. Like every other great Ringo mix, there is no absence of friendship (Lennon and Elton John to name a couple). "Back off Boogaloo" is a single that is included as a bonus, and is one the best songs that Ringo composed himself. What more could you want? Ringo's records simply make you smile.

Free Music Review: Great Album
Hit: 5 Stars

A must have album for anyone who loves the Beatles Music. All of the fab four contributed to this Ringo Starr Solo work. A great Album.

Free Music Review: Lots of musical horsepower from a damn good band.
Hit: 4 Stars

Ringo will go down in musical history as "The least annoying Beatle". We all sort of thought when the fab four quit that Ringo would end up in one of those "Where are they now?" columes in Rolling Stone magazine. No such deal. He proved to be a hell of a musician, a top rate drummer and knows how to always surround himself with the best in the biz. Paul should take some notes. Such was the case with Goodnight Vienna. I love this album!! A first class turn-it-up-loud and blow the f**kin speaker cones out on the floor recording. Ringo had to work a bit trying to find himself a band after the Beatle split but it didnt take long. Goodnight Vienna is a hot 70's post Beatle rocker that plays well in the 21st century. The title cut is a John Lennon contribution that could only have been a Ringo tune. You'll never hear a rock vocalist with no vibrato, projection and range crank it out like Ringo did on this album.

Free Music Review: Goodnight Vienna Ringo Starr
Hit: 4 Stars

Good. If you liked him in the Beatles then you would like him in his own band. Some of the songs are cute. I am a music collector and would recommend this to anyone who liked the 60's and 70's.

Free Music Review: MUST-HAVE Ringo
Hit: 5 Stars

This album and "Ringo" are required albums for any music library that is going to have Ringo Starr. All the songs on the album are well-made but if I had to choose my top five favorites, they would be
1. Goodnight Vienna
2. Oo-Wee
3. Only You (And You Alone)
4. Snookeroo
5. Call Me (come on now...its kinda 'groovy')

For anyone who wants the best of Ringo Starr, definitely pick this up along with Ringo and Stop and Smell the Roses.
