Free Music Review: Ringo releases a gem!
Hit: 5 Stars

Being married to an original Beatles fan from 1963, over the last 33 years I've heard just about every Beatles tune imaginable, from my wife's collection. And unfortunately, some of their solo works have been mediocre. But I have to say this album is a real joy to listen to. Some throwbacks to the early 60's are obvious throughout, yet the Beatlesque appeal never becomes overbearing. The album is just plain ordinary fun....and what's so wrong with that in today's world! Nothing negative implied...love & peace prevail....and so on. Maybe ALL OF US need a dose of this today. Give it a try, and I think you'll agree that it's very refreshing. By the way...all you do really need is love! Here's to hoping you purchase this recording....raise a pint to Ringo!

Free Music Review: Ringo is doing pretty good these days
Hit: 5 Stars

Some people have been putting down Ringo's Liverpool 8 album, but I think he's done a fine job. The title song is quite good, and is a memorable tune. Another track, Gone Are The Days, is a great song and deserves a single release of its own. There are a couple songs that seem a little out of place, but the overall variety of his album makes it most interesting. I enjoy playing it all the way through every time I put the CD on. Ringo has, at times, been a tough ex-Beatle for fans to get in to, but this album shows he still has what it takes to hold an audience.

Free Music Review: Warm and beautiful
Hit: 5 Stars

Warm and beautiful, this is what brings to me this new Ringo Starr album. One of his best album even since now 4 o 5 albums ago Ringo's have been making really good albums full of pretty songs.
This one particullary has really wonderful songs:the delicious Pasodobles, the warm and tender Love is,the funny country-esque R U Ready, the up-beats Think about you,the nearly psychodelic Gone are the days, the nostalgic Liverpool 8 with a really nice string arrangement and so on....twelve tracks deserving the best Ringo qualities as a musician, singer and performer.

Free Music Review: Ringo still a Starr
Hit: 5 Stars

After all these years always adorable Ringo still has us rockin and singing along. I love this CD and I agree that Ringo only gets better with time. He has been very underrated as a performer. I just bought tickets to see him and his All-Star Band when they come to Nashville and I am so excited to see my Favorite Beatle in person. I've had a crush on him since I was 7 and I will be looking forward to hearing him sing the songs on this CD as well as his other hits!

Free Music Review: Ringo Continues to Amaze
Hit: 5 Stars

Liverpool 8 continues the string of quality Ringo Starr albums, starting with "Time Takes Time". This album is full of catchy tunes, and Ringo's drumming is outstanding. His voice, which is not known as a strength, seems to get better with age. Liverpool 8 is crisply produced, the musicianship is excellent, and it is a very fun listen. Ringo's albums are best when they have a wide variety of styles, and Liverpool 8 delivers. One of his top 5 albums.
