Free Music Notes for Photograph: The Very Best of Ringo Starr (CD & DVD)Free Music Review: CD=YES DVD=NO Hit: 4 Stars
The music is great and the main reason for the purchase. As far as the DVD....horrible !
Free Music Review: By the CD, don't bother with the DVD Hit: 3 Stars
First off, don't waste your money on paying extra for the CD/DVD combo, just buy the CD. Second, the CD is a decent compilation of Ringo's work.
I bought it mostly for completeness; I own a lot of Beatles CDs, plus own some of John Lennon, George Harrison and Paul McCartney post-Beatles work.
Unlike George Harrison's first compilation, Ringo does not include his Beatles work in this compilation. Like George Harrison, you realize that while he's a talented musician, Ringo's body of work is fairly thin. This CD is a cost effective way to own the best of his work, rip the songs you like from it and put the CD on the shelf.
Free Music Review: The Starr! Hit: 3 Stars
Good sounding collection. I would've put together a different type of collection of tracks spanning through his entire career which would've also made for more treasures on the video disc.
This collection is pretty much the "Blasts From Your Past" compilation, along with a bigger handful of lesser known tracks. Ringo has much more to offer than what was put on this collection.
