Free Music Notes for Ringo 5.1Free Music Review: Deadheads moving heads Hit: 2 StarsI listen this album and sucks. Perhaps the audiophile sense is wonderfull, but the music itself is like going back to 1964 or 1965, but in the worst way. The whole same story. The same type of dumb ballads. Give me a break Ringo.
Free Music Review: Ognir Ratts Hit: 5 StarsRingo keeps making great new music, especially his latest, Liverpool 8. The wonderful sound & songs on this cd make a fan wish for the Beatles collective and solo work to all be re-mastered in 5.1, along with regular cd's. It feels great to be in the room with these guys. Scott
Free Music Review: Good multichannel Hit: 4 StarsRingo is the one of those musicians which are... absolutely sterile. His works do not excite gripe but admiration too. It's just good while you're listening to it but you absolutely cannot remember any melody after you powered you cd off.
This Ringo CD is made in respect for his contract with audiophile label 'KOCH', seems like our Starr had a 4-album contract with them and he tried to complete it as fast as he can with the material he had. Ringorama, Choose love, a Live CD then and now this 5.1 compilation made from Ringorama and Choose Love :-)
This is Double-CD edition which contains:
1. High Fidelity DVD-Audio Disc, with additional DTS track, so don't worry those who haven't DVD-A support in their players.
2. A CD with the same tracks.
3. DVD-A contains short bonus track.
Of course this is 'must miss' for those who doesn't understand anything in 5.1 sound - you have all these songs on previous CDs. Nothing new for you.
If you are an audiophile, this is must-have thing. Of course the music material is not as better as on Ringo or even Vertical Man, as I've said, you won't remember any melody after power off, but otherwise, these songs are pretty old style rock'n'roll and they are complete joyfull to listen to! Also, KOCH men did their job as noone do: the record quality is amazing, very clear acoustic guitars, very juicy sound, which will be wanted to be listened again and again!
To the multichannel mix, it's comfort and good. But nothing is innovative and amazing. Just good. Some effects in the rears, good division of instruments in the fronts. No 'synthetic-only-center-channel' voice.
This is seems to be the first DVD-A from any of ex-Beatle for the masses.
McCartney published 'Venus and Mars' and 'Band on the Run' some time ago, with the awful sound and strange songs substitution. These are out of stock and are very hard to find in any way. Also McCartney Years contains 5.1 mixes, but this is of course far from 'Album' concept.
John Lennon - The Best in the way of video clips contain 5.1 DTS mixes...
Now Ringo.
What's next, guys?
Free Music Review: For all you DVD Audio fans.... Hit: 5 StarsThis DVD Audio presentation of Ringo is absolutely breath taking. The selections are solid and the separation is magnificent. If you own a DVD audio system, this is a must have purchase.
Free Music Review: RINGO REMAINS TRUE TO ROCK N ROLL Hit: 5 StarsI agree with the previous review in every way. one thing about Ringo through the years is that he is a rock n roll artist. there are pop, rock etc but he has remained true to the original art form which is a toe tapping upbeat style of music. personally i think hes finally found his groove. the lyrics simple the message positive the vocals? it doesnt matter really. thanks ringo for all the joy youve brought to your fans. rock on! this is a great collection
