i've loved rita coolidge's work since i was a youngster... but i outgrew the folk movement and graduated to jazz and blues-swing.
and apparently, so has ms coolidge, who uses her remarkable voice to do some great renditions of well-known standards.
if you like this kind of music, you will like ms coolidge's take on it.

Yes, the wonderful, and underrated Rita Coolidge, has scored with a beautiful and heartfelt collection of memorable jazz standards. I have never heard her sound so comfortable and sure of herself. I thought so, but I tried Rita anyway, and LOVED everything about this CD. Number 1 favorite is still Boz Skagz (sp) "But Beautiful"
