Free Music Review: Rob's Best Backing Band Ever & No Filler!
Hit: 5 Stars
I Knew Rob would put out another good album he has the best backing band he has ever had and he seem's more confident then ever
Now some people are complaining the album doesn't break new ground i like some of the bluesy time rock John 5 Has put on songs like Werewolf it's cool to see that
BTW NO FILLER!
Here's my review of each song
1.Jesus Frankenstein- Starting with a slow build and then a crunching guitar rift from mister 5 this song took a few listens to grow on me the drums on this song are tight as well Tommy show's some good stuff in the chorus 5/5
2. Sick Bubblegum- Rob's 2nd single off the album is a fun little rock song with lyrics that might be about sex or nasty stuff or just literally sick bubblegum? who knows but a rocking song here 5/5
3. WHAT?- Rob's 1st single off the album after listening to it quite a few times i grew to love it John 5 has a great rift going throughout the song with kick ass distortion in the middle of the song Piggy shines for the first time on the album hear with a great bass lick 5/5
4. Mars Needs Women- Starting with acoustics! a rarity for a Zombie song the last time they we're used on Educated Horses for ''Death of it all'' was the first time since I Am legend on La Sexorcisto!
Anywho the song took a few listens to really grab me it's not as strong as the first few songs but it's a good little strange jam.
I Also love Tommy's drumming in here very heavy and powerful 4/5
5. Werewolf, Baby- Ow baby! this is one of Rob's most killer song's as a solo artist! this is a bluesy song with a la Sexorcisto era type of groove some of Zombie's funniest lyrics as well!
The band sound's tight here john show's his love for the blues on this one, Tommy & Piggy compliment each other very well with the slower paced drumming and bass lick
6. Virgin Witch- A Great rift thats sounds like it's straight out of a horror film of the 70's or 80's
John's guitar sounds like it's literally screaming at times which goes good with the song's lyrics and feel(: 5/5
7. Death And The Destiny Inside The Dream Factory- Very punk sounding song fast paced drumming and bass playing this is probably the only song on the album that could qualify as filler it's a pretty cool punk song but nothing more in my opinion 3.5/5
8. Burn- Another bluesy rift from Mr.5 with some slower and calmer vocals by Zombie going to some of his most absurd and crazy! the band sound's great on here a great heavy metal tune 4/5
9. Cease To Exit- ANOTHER Acoustic intro! the song has Rob almost sounding like a robot in some weird form the drums on this song are what really do it for me love it! 5/5
10. Werewolf Woman Of The SS- This song just kick's ass! a killer rift from 5 Leads the band into a 3 minute jam with some of Zombies best vocals! 5/5
11. The Man Who Laughs- Perhaps my new fav Zombie song!
Orchestras, 4 minute drum solos [Being compared alot to Iron Butterfly] this is one of Rob's best just a fantastic Rock N Roll epic LOVE LOVE LOVE it best song on the album and right up in in Rob's best of ALL time
