I was sitting at a train station in Europe, listening to my radio when Robbie Williams came on. I was blown away by his voice and immediately looked him up online. Slowly began purchasing his music, one album at a time, and now have made my way to Escapology - by far the best album thus far (I just purchased his new "Reality..." album as well which I have not grown to).
I been listening to the songs on this album over and over again and can't shut it off - 'Come Undone', 'Love Somebody', 'Monsoon', and 'Love Somebody' are some of my favorite hits.
If you are trying to get introduced to Robbie Williams, I would recommend this track listing or his "Greatest Hits" compilation.
Also surprised he is not big in the US....

I just received my copy of Escapology yesterday and I haven't stopped playing it. It is an amazing CD. I own all five of his albums and this one is by far his best. "Escapology" has a song to satisfy everyone's tastes. There are R&B songs ("Revolution), rock songs ("Song 3 and "Cursed"), and even a song with a mariachi band ("Me and My Monkey", which is one of the best songs on the album.) What is so incredible about this CD is that each song is completely different from the last. If you are a huge Robbie Williams fan like myself or you have never heard his music before, you must buy this CD. It is better than most of the CDs out there today. I have to confess that apart from Something Stupid with Nicole Kidman, I had not really listened much to Robbie Williams - so I'm not a regular fan of his. I bought this CD on a whim having read a review of it and being seduced by the title and album cover. It turned out to be a great buy. I really enjoyed the music, epecially Feel, Love Somebody and Me & My Monkey. The songs are very much ballady in type and the lyrics are wonderful - it's nice to listen to new songs with a story or meaning, rather than a chain of words with rhythm but no connection. I cannot compare this CD with his previous work, but if you like Elton John's music or music of that genre, you would enjoy this.Free Music Review: One of the Greatest Albums Ever Made

It is rare for me to go outside of my normal little world of music. But when I bought this album, I could not stop listening to it. It still haunts me even when I am not listening to it.
This has to be one of the best albums ever made by any singer. The lyrics are put together very, very well. Most of the songs are autobiographical which is rare to find in this day and age. The music is performed by some of the best musicians ever. Listen to the pianist on 'Feel' and you will see what I mean.
Overall, an excellent album and I recommend everyone listen to it more than once.
And a song about a monkey?? Talk about hilarious!!!

There has never been an artist I've been drawn to so much as Mr. RW. In the past with other artists, I've expected to appreciate a few if not a couple of songs on an entire CD...but, with each and every CD/DVD I purchase of RW's I find that there is something wonderful and a bit of surprise on each track. Sure, Escapology is a departure from some of his previous works but, it is an absolute joy to witness Robbie reveal yet another faucet of himself and his talent. Special favorites are: Feel, Come Undone, Me and My Monkey, Nan's, Sexed-Up...all are nothing short of BRILLIANT!)... I'm a hopelessly devoted fan...
