Free Music Notes for EscapologyFree Music Review: Excellent, yet different, Robbie Hit: 5 Stars
I've been a fan of Robbie's for a few years now (odd since I'm in the U.S.!) When I first listened to this disc, I was disappointed. I was expecting something like "Sing When You're Winning." It's definitely not that album style. Upon listening a few more times, I love it. The songs are catchy and heart-felt. He's a little into the whole L.A. thing, but everybody's got to be into something. He's been trying to figure out who he is, it seems, since his Take That days.I encourage everyone into pop music to give Robbie a try. He's a lot of fun to listen to, pretty great to look at and is just one of those guys whose voice can melt a person. I also highly recommend "Swing When You're Winning," for that Rat Pack good stuff. I'd say that's where he's at his best, but then I listen to another of his CDs and say the same for that one!
Free Music Review: Amazing - Robbie has done it again Hit: 5 Stars
The first time, I heard Escapology, I was suprised. This Robbie is different - more introspective, more willing to share himself with his audience. I loved it. These songs are also fun to sing along to, and as a Robbie fan for many years it is nice to know that some things don't have to change. I recently learned that Guy Chambers will no longer be writing with Robbie, and I am afraid that he will be able to carry on with his success as a songwriter. What a wonderful swan song for Guy - he should know that this is the best work he and Robbie have ever done. Robbie's tounge-in-cheek lyrics are coupled with his cocky tone, but it works for him, and that is what I love most about him! Some of my favourite tracks include the brilliant 'Feel' and the powerful ballad 'Come Undone.' Amazing stuff, Rob, keep it up.....don't let me down!
Free Music Review: Nan's Song/Secret Song/Jeff Hurst Hit: 5 Stars
This is quite possibly the weirdest thing. First, the album is great. However, the "hidden track" after "Nan's Song" contains some interesting lyrics. Robbie clearly sings, "Did Jeff Hurst really score".......this is very interesting because my friends name IS Jeff Hurst, and actually about two months ago he got laid for the VERY first time......PLUS everyone who knows Jeff had been making fun of him because he could never get laid, making Robbie's lyrics that much more appropriate. I am 100% not lieing at all about this. I would like to know who Robbie is singing about. p.s.....Jeff really did score.p.p.s. If anyone can get me in touch with Mr. Williams that would be appreciated. I'm really really serious about this. There is a Jeff Hurst. He is a very good friend of mine.
Free Music Review: Robbie Keeps Getting Better Hit: 5 Stars
I have been a Robbie Williams fan for several years and have all of his CDs, but I have to say that Escapology is his best album yet. I loved every one of the songs and can listen to the CD all the way through without skipping any songs. All of the songs are so well-written and sung beautifully. His first single off the album, "Feel", is the perfect song to display Robbie's vocal abilities, along with "Love Somebody". I particularly enjoy the humerous "Handsome Man" and the rock-influenced "How Peculiar". Although you will find rock, pop, and maybe even a little country influence on this album, Robbie simply can't be compared to any other artist out there. I hope more people here in the US will discover his music - it would be a shame if they didn't.

forget whatever you are doing right now. purchase the new robby williams "Escapology" cd... just do it...but sooner or later youre going to get to 7 minutes and 42 seconds of pure ape-tastic bliss... you'll have such a good time listening to it, you'll swear you're dressed like a puppy. so just do it, and dont give me any more lip. serriously, i've always been a marginal fan of mr. williams. i undoubtedly respect his humour. and he has certainly grown up since take that, and even "millenium." but i must say that i just really enjoy this album. its nothing incredible, but it just feels like such a solid buy. its so funny, and fun to listen to. it makes me think that im listening to fran healy's (travis) evil twin. its just so simple, yet full and lush, and good. just buy it already.
