Free Music Review: Surprisingly moving

I had never really heard of Robbie Williams until a British cousin recommended I buy this CD as soon as it came out in the US. He was right. The songs while being extremely catchy are very moving. In most songs, Robbie seems to be either singing about needing to love someone or not loving the person he's with. But, on both types of songs, the sentiments actually seem very heartfelt. If your taste in music runs toward non-teen pop like matchbox 20 or similar bands, then you will probably really enjoy this CD.Free Music Review: He's not an idiot, he's just British

Yet another British artist trying to break America. And yet again, you just don't get it. Some of you have recognised that this is a truly brilliant album from a fantastic artist. Most of you have just ignored him!During his Knebworth gig last week, the Robster announced that he was moving back to Britain full-time. I for one am glad we can have him all to ourselves again. This album is full of beautiful, funny, and just plain brilliant tracks. Something Beautiful? Me and My Monkey? Feel? Come on, people.

Its amazing to me how this man has not gotten HUGE in the US. He's as big as they come in Europe, has the looks, the talent, the personality. He also puts on incredible shows, makes groundbreaking and somewhat controversial videos. His sucess has shown in many forms as his last cd of standards by the likes of Bobby Darin and Frank Sinatra, and even a number 1 song in England with Nicole Kidman! As a long-time Robbie fan (Okay then, since Slane) this album shines with Robbie's growth as a songwriter. The many time songwriter of the year winner wins again.Just like the hit song "Millenium" showed the cheeky-rebel can't cheat the oncoming middle age mellowness, but it's a fresh combination that exudes from the earlier tracks in the album. The imp still lives, in the man! Buy it.
With Robbies earlier albums already Five star earners, this album should be a six.
