Free Music Review: AMERICA WAKE UP
Hit: 5 Stars

Robbie is incredible! I received this CD as a gift. How lucky am I? My gift to you fellow Americans is to treat yourself to an unplayed, undiscovered talent in this country. I cannot wait to see this guy if and when he comes to America. Robbie, if you read this, I need two tickets and backstage passes in Atlanta so I can meet your talented self!

This CD is so diversified. Advertising space is one of the prettiest ballads I have ever heard and would be a great promo for Gentleman Jack. "A place to crash" has a Stones feel to it. It made me want to get up and do a Mick Jagger dance. I feel a remix coming out of this one. You also have "King of Bloke and Bird". This song would make Pink Floyd proud!

Oh my GOD! "Make me Pure" This song moved me to tears! It's telling God to make him pure, but just not yet. This is something that I could relate to, but never heard anyone write about and with the angelic choir in the background, it touched me deeply.

Robbie, Robbie, Robbie, you are truly a gift!

Free Music Review: An album for all
Hit: 5 Stars

I'd regard myself as a staunch Robbie fan and I believe that the collaboration with Stephen Duffy, although I was sceptical to begin with, has paid off handsomely for him. All songs on this album are very good. Lyrically I believe Robbie has moved it up a gear and his ego has dropped somewhat and we see a new early 30's Robbie Williams shining through. The song to look out for is "Make Me Pure" which although seeming light hearted with the lyric "Oh Lord ,make me pure..but not yet" is a lamentable insight to the mind of Robbie,as he analyses his past. "Advertising Space" is supreme aswell, but claims that it rivals "Angels" are grossly overstated. The bee-bobby power of "A Place to Crash" is very enjoyable aswell, and the choice of "Ghosts" as the opening single validated. This song is one of those which will be underrated in time. The weakest song is "Your Gay Friend" but still listenable. Music is strong, lyrics are strong, Robbie has backed up very well from Escapalogy, showing that he is not just an entertainer, but a MUSICIAN! Must buy

Free Music Review: Wonderful.
Hit: 5 Stars

I was nervous, I must admit. After I heard the news that Robbie and Guy Chambers were going their separate ways, I did not think that Robbie's next album would live up to its predecessors. I am happy to admit that I was wrong.

The opening song, "Ghosts", is truly haunting (no pun intended....well, maybe a bit). It is my favourite song on the album. It is about love lost, which seems to be a topic that Robbie speaks of quite often.

"Tripping" is a brilliant single. It took me a few listens before I warmed up to it, but I now enjoy its reggae and pop infusion quite thoroughly.

Other faves on the album include "Advertising Space" (his next single), "Please Don't Die", "Sin Sin Sin", and "A Place To Crash".

All in all, Robbie is evolving as an artist, this time without the security of Guy to back him up. Robbie is moving on, and it shows. I have to say that this CD is definitely on my list of favourite albums of all time.

I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do.

Free Music Review: The man can make music!
Hit: 5 Stars

For anyone who doubted Rob Williams could do it without Guy - take a look at him now. He continues the tradition of putting out thoughtful, well written, well sung songs - now with a new partner, but still his own soul in each song. I have listened to all the tracks on the BBC, and on his website and he has several new singles in the mix. Advertising Space is an easy number one spot, and his melodic King of Bloke and Bird will tug at your heart. The Trouble with Me, ostensibly written for his ex-girl Rachel is exquisite, and touches on the reality that is Robbie. Always alone.

As a woman with a Mr., my heart goes out to him since he has no Mrs., but the music would not be the same if he did. We are treated to his joys and sorrows, but mostly now his sorrows. Get this album and enjoy a true entertainer. And Rob, could you get a girl so your next album will be a bit more upbeat?

Free Music Review: Robbie back on form.
Hit: 5 Stars

After much hype and pre release promotions, this long awaited album finds Robbie right on form. More mature, his honest and heart felt lyrics find a new depth,(his usual tongue in cheek honesty creeping in in places) Musically different enough to be interesting but still a real Robbie classic! A touch of Lou Reed perhaps in "Spread your wings"?, rock and roll, ballards,(one dedicated to Elvis) and a touch of electric with more variation and range on vocals than previous albums. A good partnership with Stephen Duffy has produced a brilliant album. All Robbie fans - don't hesitate, those still to be converted - go buy and try - Maybe now Robbie will be recognised for what he truely is - a brilliant songwriter and a talented inspired entertainer. Enjoy!
