Free Music Notes for Intensive CareFree Music Review: Avoid a bad taste in your mouth - Don't Buy This CD Hit: 2 Stars
I really like Robbie Williams. I bought this CD, listened to it once . . . and waited for a catchy beat, lyrical wit, or melodic cohesion. It never happened.
The rhythms sound like they came from a beat box, the band that played "How Bizarre" wrote better lyrics, and the melodies sound like notes were thrown down the stairs and placed in the songs in whatever random order they were picked up.
Buy 'Escapology' or 'Greatest Hits' instead.
Free Music Review: Embarrassed to be British. Hit: 1 Stars
Where do I start with the phenomenon that is Robbie Williams? First of all he was part of a five man cheesy pop group that few people care about anymore. Then he wasted a few years drinking. Following that he released tat after tat into the charts. Then, out the blue someone wrote him a song called Angels that captured the hearts of divorced women all over the UK. After that he was on the pop music gravy train for good, and couldn't be stopped! No matter how many awful singles and albums he produced, the low self esteemed public lapped it up because "Robbie has attitude", or "He is sexy", etc. I disagree, he is an egotistical buffoon with delusions of talent. He can't sing, write or even converse in a legible manner. Listening to him talk in an interview is like listening to a child attempt to explain the mysteries of the universe. He is clueless! Since his record company wasted millions on his contract they have had no choice but to pump out album, after album, after live show, after DVD, after charity appearance, and on it goes. I am ashamed to be considered part of the music buying British public. Have you ever heard a serious and respected recording artist say they like Robbie Williams' music? No, of course not. Ironically it seems he couldn't care less about the British public as he spends so much time mooching around the USA hoping to be recognised. He claims that he doesn't care about breaking the American music market. He might not, but his record company do! Robbie is a tragic pop accident, he even takes himself seriously. How any one person could be so deluded to think they have a talent for song is beyond me. In fifty years time the true musical classics will still be played by people all over the globe, any dross from Robbie will be recycled into something more useful, like a sink plug. This album is much the same as the rest of his output, a mash of confused lyrics and nonsense synthesised backing tracks. Robbie Williams remains the most overrated performer on the planet. I would rather listen to David Hasselhoff for24 hours non stop than five minutes of this album. Terrible from start to finish, especially so when Robbie tries to rap.
Free Music Review: Why are people raving about this? Hit: 1 Stars
Robbie Williams was a promising talent when he first emerged as a solo performer, but this collection of bland, cookie-cutter sappy ballads is indicative of the self-indulgent posturing that has capsized many a musical career. Every song sounds the same and not one has a hit-worthy hook. I see that I'm in the minority here, but it's rather unfortunate that the current state of music is such that this slab of disappointment is lauded as being some kind of masterpiece. Something has to change.
Free Music Review: I see faults in this Hit: 1 Stars
Seriously, this is Robbie going backwards, thinking he is the who. Giving it one, even Dream Theater could match (and beat) Robbie- I may be actually right here
