There is nothing bad one can say about this music other than that this was all that was recorded before Johnson's death. This music is as intensely poetic, mythological, visionary, and cathartic as any music ever made. Johnson had a rare gift: the ability both to exhilirate and haunt at the same time. It's difficult to say which is more impressive: Johnson's singing, guitar playing, or songwriting. If this music doesn't make you shiver, you're already dead.
