Free Music Review: Excellent Remaster

As a 52nd birthday present to myself, I decided to take the plunge and get this combo album. Wonderful remaster of one of my favorite albums of all time. "LIVE" has not been available in a CD format for many, many years, and the old LP I have is so scratched up it is almost unlistenable.
I was not disappointed. It sounds as if it were recorded yesterday. Fantastic tracks frrom one of the greatest rock and roll guitarists of all time in my humble opinion.
Delivery was quick, and it was in brand new factory packaging. If you are a Trower fan like myself, this CD is a must. Crank it up, and sit back.

I have owned these two albums as LPs for more than a quarter of a century, and the combined CD for around a year. And yet I have learned much from reading the other reviews here, which are a joy to read.There is nothing more that I can add to their comments. For once, there is nothing that you need to know about the artist's background, in order to fully appreciate his music. To mention his five albums with Procol Harum merely puts the prospective buyer off the scent. He is much, more more like Hendrix, but more disciplined and without the excess.
These ARE his best two albums. Buy the CD before it gets deleted.

Let me tell you what - Robin Trower and play, and dag nab can that boy Dewar sing a good blues song. Robin is to Hendrix what air is to polyester. That is to say - absolutely NO comparison. Robin stands on his own, I hear NO "jimi knockoffs" on anything I own by him. The man stands, and stands TALL, on his own merits.
I was blown away by the new version of "Bridge Of Sighs", so I said "ok, I will go in and buy this one next.". VERY glad I did - this stuff is classic good straight-ahead rocking music. I love it - and you will too.

There is not much more to be said than, "buy it now". If you have never heard this collection, you are really missing out. I remember having to special order these a few years back, and they were very much worth the extra money and wait. They are still my favorite RT albums. The song "For Earth Below" is worth the price alone. This is a great place to start if you have never heard Robin Trower before. And if you only have "Bridge of Sighs"...then what are you waiting for..this is better!Free Music Review: Two Of Trower's Best

Any rock fan knows that "Bridge Of Sighs" is one of the best rock albums of all time.
But if you love "Bridge" you must have these 2 albums. "Bridge" is an A+ but these are both A's. "For Earth Below" is an incredible follow up to "Bridge". It keeps the same feel but the song writing is even tighter. "Trower Live" is one of the best live rock records ever made. The feedback ferocity and finesse on "Daydream" is worth the price alone. If you like Trower, these are must have LP's.
