Free Music Notes for Rock StarFree Music Review: Don't forget Rainbow.... Hit: 5 Stars
I have read the reviews above and I find it slightly galling that all of them refer to "Long Live Rock and Roll" as being a Steel Dragon song. The rendition in the film was a very accurate cover of the original by Rainbow, fronted by one of the finest vocalists ever, Ronnie James Dio. Having said that, this is one soundtrack that I was desperate to acquire, after having my ears blasted off in the cinema. The original Steel Dragon tracks are a carbon copy of the era, and all the other tracks are a segment of the greatest hits of the time. Anyone who is a fan of any of the bands of the era should give the soundtrack a try.

When the movie Rock Star came out I looked for the soundtrack but couln't not find one and I know it's been years since the movie came out I still wanted the soundtrack, I finally one day looked on Amazon.com and there was the CD that I wanted and it wasn't a bad price and the shipping wasn't bad either,so I went ahead and ordered it, let's just say I was impressed with the speed that I got my CD, and it was wrapped great too to keep it from getting damaged during mailing. I have played that CD alot since I got it. It's great. Thank you so much to the people who work through Amazon.com for the customers you Rock.
Free Music Review: Go Zakk Go!! Hit: 5 Stars
I know Steel Dragon is a fictitious band put together for this movie, but Damn they rock! Dio, Deep Purple, Judas Priest...they bring back the power and the glory of 70's heavy metal. Zakk Wylde's playing is better than anything he's done with Ozzy, Jason Bonham kicks it out and Jeff Scott Soto is flat out one of rocks best vocalist. I would love for these guys to put out another album under the Steel Dragon name ala Spinal Tap. Yeah there are a few weak tracks, but skip the filler and go to the killer; you won't be sorry.
Free Music Review: 80's Metal will never go out of style!!!!!!! Hit: 5 Stars
I have been searching for this soundtrack for months and I finally found it! First off to have Zakk Wylde plying on a few tracks it has to be amazing and it is! All of the Steel Dragon tunes rock and it makes me wish they would all tour together! There are some other classic tunes. My favorite part of the movie was the ending and the song "Colorful" by the Verve Pipe. Not my favorite band of all time but they truly shine on this early 90's alternative sounding tune. It's the same version from the movie that I was looking for! Enjoy!
Free Music Review: Awesome Movie-Better Soundtrack! Hit: 5 Stars
Being a person who lives the rock star fantasy, I loved this movie. I'm a teenage drummer and I have to say, this movie is exactly like my life. The soundtrack kicks *ss. The songs rock harder than the movie does, making it my favorite soundtrack ever. This awesome album consists of true rock music. Many of the songs are just covers of cool orginals, but they still rock. Sammy Hagar, Rainbow, and many others were original artists for these songs. This album is filled with some really, REALLY, good, true rock n' roll music.
