My husband recently purchased this for our 17 month old daughter. It is music that we both enjoy. We catch her in the back seat bobbing her head to the beat of the music and 'chair dancing' in her car seat. This is a wonderful collection of children's music that adults can enjoy as well. It is not the same old boring nursery songs or the classical music that is more appropriate for wind down time. This music is great for the car or during play time. A must for parents. I wish we would have known about it sooner. Now all my friends are getting it for gifts.Free Music Review: It's great!

I'm a first-time Mom who was looking for a CD both my daughter and I could enjoy. We rec'd this CD at Christmas along with "Buzz Buzz" by Laurie Berkner. This one is my personal favorite. I think I enjoy it as much, if not more than my daughter (who is 1). The songs are addicting and I, like a previous reviewer, find myself singing/humming them even when my daughter is not around. Polly Wolly Doodle and King Kong Kitchie are fabulous! I highly recommend giving this CD a spin. I'm sure my daughter will love it even more when she gets a little older.Free Music Review: SanAntonioMom

Absolutely the best children's CD I've heard to date (and I've heard 'em all!). My 3 year old and I sing the "King Kong Kitchy Kitchy" song at the top of our lungs every day on the way to school, and my 18 month old objects VERY vocally if I don't put the CD on immediately on entering the car. The New York Times was right: parents enjoy this multicultural-in-the-best-sense-of-the-word CD as much as kids. The only question is, when will a follow-up be released?Free Music Review: Wonderful CD!

I can't say enough about this music. We keep it in the car and we barely shut the doors before my three-year-old asks for it. Now all donkeys are "mule named Sal", and he loves "Brown Girl in the Ring". The best thing is that adults don't mind hearing it again and again. Everyone can connect with this, and I think kids know it's not playing down to them. It's simply great music. Dan Zanes has really put together a wonderful collection of songs, both original and traditional, that give kids exposure to a variety of musical styles. The music is such that it grows on you with repeated exposure (vital when your kids want you to play it daily!) All in all, this is a well crafted CD that puts out a really positive vibe. (Ditto for his new CD "Family Dance".) Highly recommended.
