The first customer review is dead right -- this is a CD that rock and roll parents will love just as much as their kids. I'm in the biz and hear a lot of CDs for kids, but as most parents know most are excruciating after a hundred or so listens. Not this baby. I actually had to fight another adult to keep it. And then I went out and bought a couple of old Del Fuegos records just for good measure.Free Music Review: My Two Year Old only asks for Father Goose, not Mother!

This is my son's favorite CD, and his parents love it too! Every a.m. he says, "I want to hear Father Goose" and then he dances and sings with excitement. He also sings "I love you a bushel and a peck," which of course thrills family members. The best thing about this CD is that it is NOT your typical children's CD. I read a review in the NY Times a few weeks ago. I have been looking for some (non-insipid) music for my very musically-interested 2 1/2 year old. He loves this CD! Ever since he heard the first track he (and I) have been singing and dancing together. It is easily just as fun for adults as for little ones. Highly recommended! I loved this CD's "folky" sound and my kids and I love Suzanne Vega's "Erie Canal". This CD has an overall fun mood but is not overproduced like so much of the children's music today. I dont even mind when my kids ask to play it for the 20th time in the car - we all sing along together! Thanks guys and keep making music!Free Music Review: Great listen for kids and adults

As a parent of two young kids, I'm a great fan of music that kids can enjoy without the parents going insane. This CD is definitely in this category. The songs are mostly upbeat folk favorites, but the artists never sing down to their listeners. My kids like to dance and sing along with this CD, and sometimes I join them, too!
