The disc was OK, but content was not what I expected - was looking for the instrumental score for the movie Rocky Balboa, but the disc didn't have the songs I wanted. Files wouldn't play in my older CD player. Otherwise, it was OK.Free Music Review: Better off buying "THE ROCKY STORY" (CD)

This is pretty much the same as "the rocky story" (cd), i was very upset with this soundtrack...is it an official rocky VI soundtrack, maybee not, anyway it should of had more songs from the rocky balboa movie such as frank sinatra "high hopes"...when rocky walks into the ring...or perhaps they didn't have the copyright, but they sure had the approval to play it in the film.....AND OTHER SONGS FROM ROCKY BALBOA (rocky VI) WHICH WERE PLAYED IN THE MOVIE WERE NOT ON CD.Free Music Review: a "soundtrack" as unoriginal as the film it represents

I'm a huge fan of the Rocky franchise. I own all the DVDs and all the soundtracks. This is a cheap stunt and a ripoff, just like the movie.
Bill Conti is genius. His original soundtrack to the first Rocky film is unparalleled. Only Rocky II expands on that original soundtrack. The other 4 movies either dimsiss him completely or recycle what he has already recorded. Unfortunately, the entire Rocky Balboa movie is recycled Bill Conti music from the first film. It's way overplayed in the movie with no apparent regard to the scenes the compositions are tacked on to. The script is pointless and recycled as well. Not even the training scene is uplifting enough. As a director, Stallone is no John G. Avildsen (the original Rocky director).
THIS IS NOT AN ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK OF AN ORIGINAL MOVIE. IT IS A NON-ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK TO A NON-ORIGINAL MOVIE. The music is all from the other Rocky movies, mostly mediocre pop. If you want Conti's best contribution to Rocky, get the newly remastered soundtrack of the original film. And pick up Rocky II if you want even more along those lines. But this CD, like the film, is all marketing-driven recycled material we already bought before. Conti should have been paid to do an entirely new soundtrack. I would have bought it. Stallone ripped us all off with the Rocky Balboa film. Recycled script. Recycled music. I prayed that maybe Rocky would at least die in the ring for a powerful twist on the saga. But no, he kills off Adrian before the movie even starts... for what? So he doesn't have to pay Talia Shire to be in it? Stallone, I think a lot of us respect Rocky more than you seem to.

My friend James recommened that I get the soundtrack that there were at least 9 great songs. Well maybe there were in the movie, but they certainly were not on this CD. I wasted my money.
Only 3 songs Rocky theme, Eye Tiger, and Livin in America. Total ripoff!!
