Free Music Review: Hot rocks indeed!
Hit: 5 Stars

I have to agree with another reviewer that too many people are talking about the new sound quality instead of the song quality.I have the "un-remastered version".I'm sure that the new CD's sound great, but the old ones sounded good too.The bottom line is this:This is a great greatest hits album. If you don't want to plunk down for all those seperate RS albums then get this CD.Even with "Forty Licks",there still isn't as comprehensive a collection as this covering 1971-the present.Yeah, most of "More Hot Rocks" could have fit on here, but what's here is plenty primo Stones. If they only could have been this consistent in the 70's,80's and 90's.

Free Music Review: DSD Revives The Classics!
Hit: 5 Stars

There's not much to add about the immense quality of the basic stereo versions of these songs. They are all immortal. However, this DSD (similar to SACD) brings out the subtle (and not so subtle) highs and lows of all tracks by accenting their high quality. Be aware that this is DSD and NOT SACD. It has to have the SACD logo to be SACD. That being said, you've never heard so clear a version of, "You Can't Always Get What You Want" or "Wild Horses". The most fantastic version is of, "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" which not only sounds like the first time you heard it - it sounds like they are in your living room! I jest not!

Free Music Review: The Ultimate Early Stones Collection
Hit: 5 Stars

If you are looking for one CD set to buy from the Stones , this is it.

The set contains all of thier most well know hits with disc one featuring Satisfaction, Mothers Little Helper and Let's Spend the Night Together.

Disc two features some of the best Stones tracks, Sympathy for the Devil, Honky Tonk Woman, Gimmie Shelter featuring an amazing vocal part by Mary Clayton, and You Can't Always Get What You Want with the boys chior intro.

A great set representing the best of the Stones from thier heyday, buy it, play it, enjoy it! You cant go wrong with this collection.

Free Music Review: perfect for the casual stones fan
Hit: 5 Stars

If you're like me, then your one of those people who understand why the Rolling Stones are so great, but you won't go out and buy every one of their albums. This album is perfect for you if you're like that. It is essentially a greatest hits album. It contains all their greatest hits from 1964-71, which is basically a greatest hits of all time from them. A hardcore stones fan would argue that, but for someone like me, its perfect. This album contains all the songs that you would hear on the radio, even some that you may not hear. Be sure to get this one, it's a must have for any fan of rock.

Free Music Review: Great early Stones anthology
Hit: 5 Stars

The Rolling Stones' early years--some of the best rock and roll you'll ever find, and here it is (well, the best of it) on two CDs. For years, this was, in my opinion, the best Stones anthology around, simply because there were so many good hits on it. Now that it has been remastered, the sound is even better.

I am a little more partial to the newest Stones anthology, Forty Licks, simply because it has more songs, yet I remain true to the original Hot Rocks album. Buy this with the enhanced sound quality, and you'll have a whole lot of listening enjoyment to look forward to.
