Free Music Notes for Hot Rocks 1964-1971Free Music Review: i.e. The Very Best Of.... Hit: 5 Stars
This is some of the best rock and roll music ever made and it is all you need if you want to hear The Rolling Stones' greatest music.
This is music made when they were a great band and not obscenely rich corporate shills that rock out for aging, middle class and yuppie baby boomers --while sticking it to the people with absurdly high ticket prices, all for the glory of their lost youth and Budweiser or whoever the corporate god is to whom they pay tribute on that particular tour.
Free Music Review: One of the first ( and best ) albums I ever bought... Hit: 5 Stars
I got this one as a 13 year old back when it was first released and played it for years until I finally wore out the grooves. When it became available on cd I snapped it up quick.I still think that these early songs are the best stuff they ever did. "Under My Thumb", "Let's Spend the Night Together", "Mother's Little Helper", "19th Nervous Breakdown", "Paint It Black", "Gimme Shelter", "Street Fightin Man"........ I'll still be listening to this stuff when I'm old (well...older) and gray.
Free Music Review: You can sometimes get what you want Hit: 5 Stars
This is a must own double CD of The Stones early work and is as timeless as any album they have ever released. I own the album version of this gem but no longer have the capability to play it so...to replace it I bought this DSD remastered set and the sound quality is excellent. For those who want to hear songs from their beginning up until 1971, this is an excellent choice. You WILL get a lot of "satisfaction" if you purchase this essential set...
Free Music Review: Hot Rocks rocks! Hit: 5 Stars
A truely brilliant album! An awesome addition to anyones music colection. A superb blend of old time blues and funk combined with sweet and haunting, symphonic melodies behind the gritty and powerful vocals of Mick Jagger. A blast from the past for some, a novel encounter for others, but one thing is for sure, the timelessness of this album is sure to please everyone! This is classic rock and roll at it's finest! A true masterpiece!
Free Music Review: Stones Rock Hit: 5 Stars
Hot Rocks pulls together the classic Stones songs from the 60's and what more really needs to be said about them. The album is a virtual history lesson of the band. "Satisfaction", "Jumping Jack Flash", "Sympathy For The Devil" and all the others have become more than just songs, they have become part of music lore. Hot Rocks is a must for any fan of the band and a great place to start for those who aren't familiar with their music.
