Free Music Notes for Shine a Light - O.S.T. (Dlx) (Ocrd)

Free Music Review: Still Rolling After 46 Years!
Hit: 5 Stars

As a hardcore Stones fan, nothing delights me more than another movie and live album. SHINE A LIGHT is great stuff, containing excellent versions of big hits ("Sympathy for the Devil") and less familiar green grass ("She Was Hot," which has rarely been done live). My favorite moments are Keef's two tunes, "You Got the Silver" and "Connection," and a truly resonant take on "As Tears Go By." I am also taken by the guests: Jack White on "Loving Cup," Buddy Guy on "Champagne and Reefer," and especially Christina Aguilara on "Live With Me." I'm not really a fan of the Spears generation of girl singers, but CA does herself proud on this track. Be sure to pick up the deluxe version, as you get the whole show and some neat bonus tracks. Rock on, Stones!

Free Music Review: Easily the best Stones live album in 30 years!
Hit: 5 Stars

It's strange that arguably the greatest live band of all time (Who and Bruce aside) havent put out a great live album since Get Yer Ya-Yas Out! almost 30 years ago...

Just wanted to say that it is worth a buy, great song selection, and great guests (no suprise, I think Buddy Guy shine above the other two, but all three are great)

Charlie shines on audio, but Mick shine in the film...

See the movie! Best concert movie I have ever seen. It may not be The Last Waltz, but it is something special! Thank you Marty!

BTW: Connection is done very well here, one of my favorite songs on the album.

Free Music Review: The Biggest Bang!
Hit: 5 Stars

The live double-CD set captures the greatest rock and roll band in the world at the pinnacle of their powers. A far cry from the exhuberant energy of the band's 1969 effort, "Get Your Ya Ya's Out", the tone of "Shine a Light" exudes a mature, refined Rolling Stones -- in a "live" mix with a studio sound. Mick Jagger's sense of humor uncorks "Faraway Eyes", "Some Girls" and insults. Songs from the 60's, 70's, and 80's comprise the set. Martin Scorsese, Jack White III, Buddy Guy, and Christina Aguilera appear in the band's best live album since '69.

Free Music Review: The BEST Rolling Stones collection yet.......period
Hit: 5 Stars

OK, so another collection of Stones songs, but not just any collection....these sonically are unmatched.....if you own every Stones record...buy this one. If this would be your first Stones CD...buy this one....Kids like the Disney artists? Buy this one....The only other release that got me this interested in the sheer impact of the songs was the new release by the band Vallejo....they remind me of the Stones energy and the Thicker Than Water CD they just put out is their best, no question.

Free Music Review: The Stones Continue to Amaze
Hit: 5 Stars

I haven't seen the movie yet, but the soundtrack is terrific. I'll never get tired of listening to live Stones music. They are the best that ever was and ever will be. This set contains the big hits and some of the lesser known songs like She Was Hot, Loving Cup and As Tears Go By that are rarely done live. It even has my two favorite Keith songs, Connection and You Got the Silver, done in excellent fashion. Just a terrific live set and great sound!
