In the latest in a long line of first rate work, Rory Block here tackles 13 of Robert Johnson's compositions. All her versions are first rate, remaining faithful to the original classics while injecting her own personality and style at the same time. That's not an easy thing to do as these songs have done over and over by countless artists. Block has covered Johnson before but this is her 1st Cd devoted entirely to the great bluesman.
