If you are thinking of buying this set, don't hesitate. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Country Mile, Got My Mojo Working, I Take What I Want and Cruise On Out represent Gallagher and his band at their energetic best. Probably the best live act of all time. I was fortunate enough to be present at the Venue, London when the BBC live set was recorded. It sounds as good now as it did all those years ago. Memo to BMG/Capo/Buddah - PLEASE release the unbelievable version of The Last Of The Independents from that set - it was definitely the highlight of the night.Free Music Review: one of the greatest guitar albums ever

bbc sessions from rory gallagher is one of the greatest blues rock albums i have heard.rory is one of the greatest slide guitar players along with johnny winter.this is an excellent combo of a live and a studio disc of great songs from the irishman.On the live disc you get to hear blistering versions of classics like CALLING CARD,JACKNIFE BEAT and COUNTRY MILE.one the studio disc which i felt was better you have blues rock classics like FEEL SO BAD,IT TAKES TIME,TOREDOWN and THEY DONT MAKE THEM LIKE YOU.very highly recommended.get this with IRISH TOUR from the same artist.Free Music Review: Great introduction to hear Rory Live

I had read of Rory Gallagher in different guitar magazines but had never heard his music. I was in a local music merchant and found this 2 cd set in the bargain bin. It was a bargain indeed. From the liner written by his sister to the 2 different settings he is presented in you will be amazed by the the personality that comes through his playing. If you really want to see it then purchase the 2 dvd set of his Montreux performances put out by Eagle Rock. FIVE STARSFree Music Review: buy this

This is a must have for any fan of great guitar rock n roll.MY favorite is disc 1 the live disc.It starts out with the great song calling card and just never lets up.Country mile is another classic.I just wish they would have made this a double live cd as his live stuff was by far his best.He just poured his heart out in the live stuff.If you like this disc,check out live in europe.Rory will always be one of the best guitar players that have ever lived.
