Irish tour is one of the greatest live rock albums I have ever listened to.this is a fantastic album from one of the greatest but most underrated guitarists ever.I am amazed that rory never became very succesful inspite producing some of the greatest music ever put on tape.All his albums are masterpieces and I will definetely rate him better than great guitarists like Hendrix,Page,Clapton and Beck.this is his best and contained blistering renditions of anthems like CRADLE ROCK,I WONDER WHO,TATOO'D LADY,A MILLION MILES AWAY,WHO'S THAT COMIN and WALK ON HOT COALS.VERY VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.get this with LIVE IN EUROPE and STAGESTRUCK from the same artist.Free Music Review: Stunner

Rory, Rory, Rory - stunning, stunning, stunning. And the remastered CD is a champion job, just like all the other original album refreshers. All the moods are here - slide rock, slow blues, reflective sadness, acoustic tenderness. And some blistering solos. Try the blazing soulfulness of Tatoo'd Lady, or get lost in the delicious meandering (in the best sense of that word)of the solos in Walk on Hot Coals. Or the slow intensity of A Million Miles Away. Nice one Rory, nice one son, let's have another one, as the fans chant at the end of Who's that Coming? Rory Gallagher was one of the greatest guitar players who ever lived,It is a shame that his life ended so early, and also that so few people know about him.This live recording captures the intensity of his awe inspiring ability with a guitar.
"cradle Rock" is a great tune with blazing fast guitar that will satisfy the most critical listener,while "tattoo'd lady's
catchy chorus will have you humming it all day.
If you are a fan of great guitar blues, this belongs in your collection. NO guitar player should be missing this album in their collection!

Rory Gallagher is unknown to many rock-n-roll listeners and that's a shame. This cd is almost a greatest hits compilation with the added benefits of being live, digitally remaster from the original tapes(?) and positively kickin'. Some of the best Rory is here(hear)and done with more energy than any of his studio outings, some of which are mighty fine. This disc is a remaster at higher bit rates I assume. The high end is amazing and some times almost ear splitting but hey, that's what live rock-n-roll is all about. Blues based rock has never been done better.
