Free Music Review: Rory is a peerless Bluesman
Hit: 5 Stars

This album represents one of the best live blues playing that I've listened to in my 45 years. Rory is not a typical rock star who is interested in flashy presentations. He lets his strat do his work. Great slide (A Million Miles Away), acoustic (As the Crow Flies)and hard ass blues-rock(Tattoo'd Lady). If you are interested in any history of rock n roll, Rory brings it with his renditions of Walk on Hot Coals, Who's That Coming and Cradle Rock. Buy this recording to see where real rock n roll came from. And appreciate a Master At Work.

Free Music Review: if you like live '70s hard rock, just buy it!!!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

I feel that this is Rory's best performance!! Live music, long songs, hard rockin', it's just what I like. "Cradle Rock", "Walk on Hot Coals" and "Back on My Stompin' Ground"(a slide guitar tune) are to be played very loud:). They rock so hard. "I Wonder Who" has a nice blues touch. "As the Crow Flies" and "A Million Miles Away" reveal Rory's softer side. "Too Much Alcohol" adds a little bit of humor. I can't believe no one in the US knows who this guy is anymore.

Free Music Review: great
Hit: 5 Stars

This is just a great cd if you have a love for great guitar work, and blues rock music. This is probably one of rory finest cd`s and his best live cd.This has the fantastic acoustic song as the crow flies. You have to check out that guitar work, not many people could play a guitar like that, and you will not find anybody in these new bands that like to play all glowm & doom music. If you want one great cd,buy this and you will wear it out,i promise.

Free Music Review: Electric show; rocks from the first to the last
Hit: 5 Stars

I was introduced to Gallagher as a young man by my brother and have always wondered why he hasn't been given his due as a guitarist or his influence in the blues. From the explosive first riffs in 'Cradle Rock' this CD never slows down in it's energy. Gallagher's rapport with his audiences was intimate and clearly fueled his play. This CD has been the talk of everyone I have played it for. And the BBC Sessions is a close second!

Free Music Review: Rory Gallagher's Irish Tour
Hit: 5 Stars

I came upon Rory Gallagher on Wolfgang's Vault. I don't know how many times I passed over his name only because I didn't know who he was. MY MISTAKE. I believe it was a 1 3/4 hour live concert from 1978. After I played it through, I replayed it in it's entirety, once more. I was instantly a fan. Any one who enjoys blues rock must listen to Rory once. You'll be a fan, too.
