Free Music Review: I'm sadly disappointed

I've been a big fan of Roseanne Cash for a number of years, wore out three copies of "The Wheel" on tape when I had a long commute. Maybe its unfair to compare this new one to her other albums but it's just sort of bland. I was excited a few weeks ago when I read that she had recorded a new album, perhaps I was expecting too muchA couple of other things to mention: the album is only 39 minutes long, which seems a bit short to me. It also does not have the "cd" logo that shows that its supposed to be up to what I understand are the "red book" specifications for compact discs. At first it wouldn't play in my cd player, an NAD C541i, not a piece of junk. Then I put it in my Pioneer cd burner, where it played, then put it back into my regular deck. Then it played. That's when I checked for the cd logo and couldn't find it. This may indicate some copyright protection scheme which may give other people difficulties.
I'm sorry Roseanne. I really wanted to be knocked over by a great album.
