James Levines rendition of Rossini's Barber of Seville is available as a complete two CD set for less than twenty dollars in the excellent Black Dog Opera Series.One can find it in the book section here at Amazon or in your local bookstore such as Borders Books and Music.I have many recordings of this opera and can heartily say that this one stands above them all in both the performances of all involved and the EMI recording itself.In addition to the two CD set you also get the book which explains the opera,gives background on the composer and the performers including the conductor.Half the book is a complete libretto in Italian and English interspersed with notes by the author explaining key points in the opera that are helpful for both the novice and seasoned opera fan.Search all you want for the complete opera elsewhere....you can only find it in the Black Dog Opera Series.Buy it!!!
