Free Music Notes for Rough CuttFree Music Review: Cutt Your Heart Out!! Hit: 5 Stars
Unfortunately, Rough Cutt was one of the best kept secrets of the 80's metal scene. Their sound was a little different for the times when compared to bands like Priest and Maiden. A bit slower but still heavy. I saw them open for DIO in '86 and they blew me away. Cutt Your Heart Out, Take Her and Piece of My Heart absolutely rock. If only I could find their second album "Rough Cutt Wants You" on CD. This album is a definite must have!
Free Music Review: Amir Derakh is soooo cool!!! Hit: 5 Stars
Although this band is from the 80's and I am a 90's kind of chick (I am only 20), I really enjoyed listening to it. I must say, though, that Amir Derakh does a much better job at playing guitar for the new band Orgy. But it is kind of cool listening to him play 80's hair music. I think this older cd kicks butt and if you've never heard it before then you need to get off of your butt and listen!!!!!
Free Music Review: This album has Balls Hit: 5 Stars
A friend of mine played this album for me in 1988 or so.It blew me away. I have been casually looking for it ever since. It is one of the most underated metal albums of all time. Very solid, every song rocks. The song 'Dreamin Again' should have been a classic.Rough Cutt was a great band, I saw them open for Dio in Dayton, Ohio. I highly recommend this one!
Free Music Review: IT CUTTS! Hit: 5 Stars
I actually have this album on vinyl. I've had it since it first came out and it flat out smokes! (...)Man, for me they don't make 'em like this anymore. Solid musicianship and good production. Considering the state of music nowadays this album makes me long for the 80's. Great cover and great music. Get it!(...)
Free Music Review: Wow Hit: 5 Stars
This is a great band and a fantastic album. Borrowed it from a friend and kept it for two years back in the day. Didn't see it posted anywhere else, so I thought I'd add it - Shortino makes a brief cameo in "This is Spinal Tap" - during the scene with Howard Heffman. FYI
