Ah, RC's debut-what an already mature effort.
From the dissonating power chords of the opener through the ballads and the rollicking finale, this is truly a classic hard rock 80s platter.
Shortino raised their game further on the follower "Wants You" before moving to a one disc project with Quiet Riot (ill fated venture that one).
It is borderline criminal that RC never went anywhere while clearly inferior bands such as QR obtained (fleeting) success. Unfortunately Shortino's solo projects never challenged RC's catalogue in terms of quality, making this disc a real treasure for rock fans.
Nothing close to this came out after 1990, when politically correct flannel clad wasteaways took over MTV with their musically challenged "bands"

Free Music Review: Vintage Metal

Rough Cutt powers through with a strong showing of metal which also hints at a blues influence. Produced by Tom Allom (Judas Priest fame), this album has plenty of power chords, gutsy vocals, and drive. Like so many classic albums, the whole album is just flat out solid. It isn't Speed Metal, but who needs extreme speed with a well crafted and intelligently written metal set, obviously designned to take on the road. One of my favorites from the 80's.
