Free Music Notes for Star Wars: Shadows Of The Empire [Enhanced CD]Free Music Review: The BEST Star Wars music ever Hit: 5 Stars
Joel(The composer and creator of this music) is a genius. Every peice of music on this CD is a master peice. Track 10, the Destruction of Xizor's Palace is much better than John William's Duel of the Fates. Xizor's theme is as good and at the same time rivals Williams Imperial March. Joel knows how to peice together the music and make it fit much better than Williams. Its just my opinion, but this music is the most memoriable, romantic, action-packed, and soft Star Wars music ever! And theres only 10 Tracks! It deserves 6 stars.
Free Music Review: Excellent Soundtrack Hit: 5 Stars
I love John Williams music, and I thought no one could even get closer to his Star Wars music, but I guess I was wrong. McNeely did an outstanding job with his composing, he takes you into the Shadows of the Empire world as if there was a movie about it. Almost all the themes are exciting, but I think the best one is Xizor's theme in which you can imagine his ruthless personality and his clever thinking. This CD is a "must have" for every Star Wars fan, specially if you have read the book.
Free Music Review: Holy mashed potato! Hit: 5 Stars
Fantastic. Despite the fact that it isn't John Williams and that I know Joel McNeely best as Dark Angel's composer, this is really good. THe incorporation of the existing material with new stuff is great. Xizor's theme brilliantly has a tad of the imperial march in there showing Xizors relationship with it, but is entirely different as well. Much work has gone into this and it shows. If I could meet Joel, I'd shake his hand. :)
Free Music Review: Tracks 4 and 8 Rule! Hit: 5 Stars
I hated this album when i first bought it. It took playing the video game for me to start to appreciate it. Now I love it. But i can't get the enhanced CD part to work anymore. It worked the first time i used it, but now its like its not even there. I don't understand. At least the great music is still there. If anyone has any suggestions on how i can fix the enhanced part, please feel free to email me. Thanks.
Free Music Review: Very good Hit: 5 Stars
I first learned of this book after having played the N64 game, and then ordered the book. I read through it and was very impressed, at the back of the book was an offer for the soundtrack, I figured it was the soundtrack for the game as well which is very good. I ordered and it and lo and behold it was the game soundtrack also. It was spectacular. If you like star wars, or good classical music: get this.
