Free Music Review: Loved the movie, love the soundtrack

Probably THE best soundtrack CD to any movie ever. All those awesome high-energy songs from the film are here. It's just awesome. I love listening to this when running.
My one drawback - and I am curious if anyone else hears this - During the track "Introduction" I hear this totally distracting noise like someone lightly tapping on a hand drum - 1-2. 3. 4. Over and over again - 1-2, 3. 4. Now, I know for a fact that this noise is NOT in the movie - I have checked my DVD and that song sounds perfect - it's my favorite of them all. But for whatever reason - there's this totally annoying and distracting sound throughout the entire song. Drives me nuts and ruins it for me.

The amazing soundtrack to the independent German film that won the World Cinema Audience Award at the 1999 Sundance Film Festival. This release has 16 electronica tracks, including 'Believe' by Franka Potente, the film's star.German film Run Lola Run has been compared to a 70-minute rock video: nonstop action and music, and (for better or worse) not a whole lot of plot. But the premise works, as does the film's high-energy techno soundtrack. Most of the tunes on this disc are credited to the trio of Tykwer/Klimek/Heil--the threesome of film director Tom Tykwer, techno producer John Klimek, and Rynhold Heil (best known as the producer of German pop import 99?Luftballons by Nena). Included are several remixes of the movie's main themes, the bass-heavy "Rock Me" by Pills, and "Wish," featuring the vocals of Franka Potente (Lola herself). There are a ton of soundtracks that have employed dance music, but few work as successfully as Run Lola Run. There's a cohesiveness to this dark and furious mix of beats that your typical compilation just can't muster. --Jason Verlinde
