.....to ME.....

First of all, if this album is analogized to a kind of a food, it will for sure be a " GOURMET " one; the one whose all songs, except the U2' s no. 1 hit in the 80s, were carefully compiled to properly serve the movie's theme purposes.

Secondly, if it is analogized to a kind of restaurant, it will definitely be, again, a " GOURMET " one, charging amazingly reasonable prices by both qualitative and quantitative methods.

Let's see the menu:

Appetizer>>>

1) " Ready To Run " by Dixie Chicks, the cool, fun, folky country pop hit that will make you tap your feet while waiting for your favourite beverages at the table.

2) " I Love You, " the urban country hit with coolyhighharmonically rhymes in HOOK / CHORUS performed by Martina McBride.

3) " Maneater " by Hall & Oates, the most famous POP/ROCK/R&B duo group in the early 80s ( when i was still in grade school ) with seductive sax and hypnotized drum and bass lines in this no. 1 hit number.

4) " From My Head To My Heart " by Evan & Jaron for those who fancy more of rocky, poppy edges.

Main Dish>>>

5) " Blue Eyes Blue " by the living guitar legend, Mr. Eric Clapton. Please feel free and self-induldged to lose yourself deep into the river of folky, pop number with the heavenly guitar riffs and heartfelt lyrics surfaced by the angelic melodies.

6) " And That's What Hurts, " the incredible mid-tempo R&B number by soulful Mr. Daryl Hall.

Dessert>>>

The dessert list includes only sweet, catchy tunes including " Never Saw Blue Like That " acoustic piano ballad by Shawn Colvin; " You Sang To Me " by Segnor Marc Antony: the catchy, heartfelt ballad tunes; " You' re The Only One For Me, " the laid-back, chill-down groove thang by ALLURE; " BEFORE I FALL IN LOVE " by the Asian Gem / Taiwanese star, COCO LEE; and the Supremes' revamped " You Can't Hurry Love " by Dixie Chicks again...

Well...and if this album were a girl, it would have been the most beautiful runaway one that i' ve been longing for... BABYYYY, I DO...

As usual, have a nice day of listening without prejudice. #SHIN P.#

Free Music Review: A nice "Easy-Listening" soundtrack with some surprises!
Hit: 4 Stars

Since "West Side Story" and Disney's "Mary Poppìns", I became addicted to soundtrack albums. This one from a wonderful, light romantic comedy in which the beautiful Julia Roberts appears as gorgeous as she is, has a nice but eclectic selection of songs. Anyway, please note that there are three outstanding songs for what this soundtrack is worth: "And That's What Hurts", an authentic 'jewel' by DARYL HALL & JOHN OATES (not available in any of their other records or Hits compilations), "Where Were You (On Your Wedding Day)" by BILLY JOEL, and also the wonderful ballad "You Sang To Me" by Puerto Rico Salsa superstar MARC ANTHONY.
There is also a cute version of the classic "You Can't Hurry Love" by THE DIXIE CHICKS... You will get even "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" by the superb Irish band U2. I bought this CD even when I didn't see the movie, but I was very happy when I discovered that so many great songs were included in it!

Free Music Review: Entertaining pop soundtrack
Hit: 4 Stars

OK, the movie's not much to speak of--a bit contrived for my tastes. But buried beneath the goo, there is a solid soundtrack. Two Dixie Chicks tracks mix pop with a bit of country twang. While their remake of "You Can't Hurry Love" doesn't match up to the original, it is nevertheless highly entertaining.

A lovely, introspective Eric Clapton track is a highlight, as is Martina McBride's "I Love You." This catchy bit of pop is slight but nevertheless impossible to get out of your head.

Marc Antony's "You Sang To Me" is also lovely, if a bit more sentimental. The album also contains previously released 1980s tracks from U2 ("I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" from 1987's "The Joshua Tree") and Hall & Oates. As the Amazon review says, the new material is what makes this CD worth buying. Fun, high-energy listening, and better than your average compilation soundtrack.

Free Music Review: GREAT TUNES!!!!
Hit: 4 Stars

The songs on the Runaway Bride cd are great. There's a compilation of both rock and soft rock to suit your fancy. Shawn Colvin singing "I never saw blue like that" is my favorite with it's beautiful melody and lyrics. And if you love Billy Joel then you'll love to hear him sing the upbeat song "Where were you on our wedding day" which describes a lot about what the films about, a bride running away. Sure I haven't seen the film yet but I know it's probably good with these wonderful songs in it. Amazon.com doesn't list all the songs that are on this soundtrack such as U2's "I still haven't found what I'm looking for", and list's Kenny Loggin's and Human Nature as being on there when their not. All in all a must buy and I now have to see the movie!
