Free Music Review: CANADIAN LED ZEP
Hit: 5 Stars

This would prove to be a sucessful band that would merge from the dephs of the Guess Who and Gordon Lightfoot days, these guys actually rocked. Rush is a three man band, yeh three. Well anyways, this particular album I can say, can stand up to any Led Zeppelin album any day, I do believe. Being an admirere of the ol Zep, I still think this album rocks. From the beginning to the end, pure aggressive and progressive rock. Bastille Day, Lakeside Park, The Necromancer set, all on which tells stories of myth like the Fountain of Lamneth. This whole album is pure to extremes, worth listening to, just give it a gander, try it on for size, you'll be hooked and become a fan and soon by their albums too.

Hit: 5 Stars

I haven't listened to this album in about fifteen years. I figured I'd do some searching through Rush's catalogue and found it, so I decided to download. Although the album does have its starts and stops, there is no denying that what Alex Lifeson, Geddy Lee, and Neil Peart were doing was shier genius. This band rocks! If you can put aside what the production crew was doing, "Puff..." Jeesh! I don't know... Put most of the commercial songs on the "B" side wrapped up into one song... Listen! to the music, I think we could agree that these musicians were about to make a major breakthrough . My only regret is that I have never heard one of these songs live... Maybe in 2010?

Free Music Review: caress of steel: GREAT ALBUM!!
Hit: 5 Stars

CARESS OF STEEL THE MOST UNDERATED RUSH ALBUM EVER!!! let me start off with complimenting the name of the album, caress of steel, its a great title, its awesome. bastille day and lakeside park are very nicely done songs. then theres i think im going bald, most people hate it because it has silly lyrics, but still, IT ACTUALLY IS A GOOD SONG. then theres the necromancer and fountain of lamneth, both are awesome. THE NECROMANCER IS THE GREATEST RUSH SONG OF ALL TIME!! so like i said caress of steel is my favorite album and is the best album. BUY IT! you will not be disapointet don't let these people who don't know about music fool you: this album is the best!

Free Music Review: UNDESERVEDLY UNDERATED
Hit: 5 Stars

This wrongly overlooked album is a treasure trove of early 70's heavy prog rock. The second album with the amazing Neil Peart behind the pen and drum kit, Caress has the raw intensity and sincerity that the band launched their career on. Fast moving tracks like "Bastille Day" and "I Think I'm Goin' Bald" balance the two slower concept pieces, "The Necromancer" (thinly veiled Tolkien, gotta love it!) and "The Fountain of Lamneth." Both of the concept pieces are classic, and preview the band's move into the full-blown, hard rock must-have concept album 2112 (and later, "Hemispheres"). If you're exploring the sonic world of Rush, don't forget Caress of Steel!

Free Music Review: Another timeless CD for Rush fans
Hit: 5 Stars

Through my many years of being a die hard fan of this band I have learned that you really can't compare their albums as being better that the other. I remember not wearing this one out in the seventies with a needle like 2112 and others, but through time this album has become one of the ones I still listen to most often. I would give it 4 and a half stars if I could but I have to give 5 because I lean more there than 4. It is so unique that I have really grown very fond of all the tracks. My only regret is that I will buy all of the new re-masters because of the sound quality. And its not really a regret, just another $400 or so.
