Free Music Notes for Snakes & Arrows Live 2 CD SetFree Music Review: Another side of Rush we never see. Hit: 5 Stars
I went to the Snake and Arrows concert in Seattle in 2007. The music and light show are always fantastic. But we rarely see such images of depth and feeling mixed with music. Rarely does so much power come from a trio like Rush. You get the right combo of music and imagery, we get this result. This is an awesome CD set. This is worth the time and money to listen to them. There may be some hidden messages among the lyrics. Maybe the lyrics are clear as day. Listen to what they say and how they say it and you will be moved.
Free Music Review: Great live recording of world's greatest rock band Hit: 5 Stars
Having attended seven Snakes & Arrows shows, many from the front row, I can personally attest to the sound fidelity that this recording brings to the concert listening experience. There is power in a well-engineered and not over-driven sound.
Since I am guessing that there won't be many folks even looking at this that are not fans of RUSH my guess is that there is little to say beyond "this is a great recording of the concert and you should own it."
Free Music Review: Well done.... Hit: 5 Stars
A very good job mastering the nuances that are a signature of Rush's unique musical prowess. It can be very tough to do... Rush in Rio was a perfect example of a amazing live performance that due to recording issues came through as less than average. There is energy here that has not been seen for awhile and the boys seem to be re-energized thanks to the creative process involved in making the studio album.
Definitely worth the purchase!!
Free Music Review: Rush Rocks Hit: 5 Stars
Though too heavy on Snakes and Arrows album songs content, this is the best sounding Rush live album ever put out. I saw them live in 2007 and 2008, and this CD set sounds exactly like they do live...great. Drums and cymbals are miked and recorded in awesome clarity...and fully capture Neil Peart's beats and crashes; bass, guitar and synth/effect are equally sonically pleasing as well. I recommend this Rush live album
Free Music Review: Crisp Hit: 5 Stars
This is by far the best Rush live album. The only complaint I have is the emphasis on S&A songs which are good but tend to drag on a bit. Passage to Bangkok, Mission and Digital Man sound as good as the studio versions. I went to this concert in Albuquerque and rank this in my top 3 concerts I ever been too. This is a must for serious Rush fans and fans of live music.
