Free Music Notes for Rushmore: Original Motion Picture SoundtrackFree Music Review: Rushmore - #1 Movie and Soundtrack of the Year!! Hit: 5 Stars
If you loved the movie Rushmore like I did, you'll love the soundtrack just as much! It's not for everyone (like the movie), but if you like off-the wall, strange tunes, make sure you pick this one up. It brings back memories of the film, and makes you wanna see it again. Usually the instrumental interludes in between the songs on soundtracks stink, but these ones are amazing. So, if you have an open mind, and loved the movie, go buy it!!
Free Music Review: Looking for that Stones Song from the Movie? Hit: 5 Stars
First off, the soundtrack is truly fantastic, but I'm sure the other reviews do a fine job conveying that. The only drawback with the soundtrack is that it doesn't have that fantastic Rolling Stones song from the movie. If you know the one I'm talking about (starts right after the cemetary scene w/ the kid and Bill Murray), and you want it, the name of the song is "I Am Waiting," and it's on the Stones album "Aftermath."
Free Music Review: A soundtrack to fit my life! Hit: 5 Stars
The Rushmore soundtrack has every type of music to fit each and every one of my moods. I especially like the first track and Creation's rebellious "Making Time", as well as Edward Appleby. I am wondering if there were a few songs Wes Anderson left out of the soundtrack ; maybe I ought to see the movie a third time to catch what he left out! Definitley a must for the music enthusiast: The music is just as great as the movie.
Free Music Review: Grade A British Invasion Classics Hit: 5 Stars
Anyone wanting to get a primer on the British Invasion can start with this terrific soundtrack to the equally terrific film, "Rushmore." Starting with the rockin' "Making Time" and the bouncy "Concrete+Clay" all the way to the irresistible "Ooh La La," the CD brims with catchy hooks. Mark Mothersbaugh's quirky score is also delightful. Altogether, as good as soundtracks can get.
Free Music Review: Best soundtrack ever Hit: 5 Stars
This is the only soundtrack to a movie I own and it is amazing. I heard it before I saw the movie, but after viewing, it's that much better. I don't think there are any glaring omissions, like on the Royal Tenenbaums soundtrack ("Everyone" by Van Morrison). Like other great movies such as Harold and Maude and The Graduate, the Rushmore's music flows perfectly with the action and dialogue. A masterpiece!
