Free Music Notes for Rushmore: Original Motion Picture SoundtrackFree Music Review: lets go for a picnic... Hit: 5 Stars
this cd is an amazingly sincere combination of tunes that stay true to the film and this incredible arrangement that makes anyone who listens to it trip in the very best sense of the word. it makes me happy. so even if you didnt see the movie... grab this... the way it makes you feel is worth it. but watch the movie as well. you'll like it.
Free Music Review: A mix that recalls a feeling Hit: 5 Stars
This soundtrack brings a happy mood whenever I hear it. All the tracks are good, even Mark Mothersbaugh's instrumentals. I don't recall where they placed in the movie, so it doesn't bring back scenes of the movie like some sountracks do. Some of my favorite tracks are: rue st. vincent, concrete & clay, and a quick one while he's away.
Free Music Review: Rushmore is my life Hit: 5 Stars
I freaking love this soundtrack! It added so much to the movie - it certainly wouldn't be the same without those great songs. I'm not young enough to remember when these songs first hit the airwaves and turntables, but I understand why Wes Anderson chose them. Mark Mothersbaugh's additional original songs are also fantastic!
Free Music Review: As Good as the movie Hit: 5 Stars
Listening to the CD, you realize the brilliance of the movie and you can't help but have a smile on your face. I love "ooh la la" and the Cat Stevens songs, but probably my favorite is "A Summer Song." If you loved the movie, this is a must buy. Even if you haven't seen it, the soundtrack is amazing.
Free Music Review: um, buy this right away Hit: 5 Stars
I saw this movie, and while the movie is one of the greatest films of the past few years, the soundtrack is equal to the task of complementing it properly. It seems that most of the songs were obscure tunes by famous bands(Who, The Faces w/Rod Stewart, J Lennon, etc). I am so bummed it's not out yet. I want it right now.
