Awsome music; lyrics, as well as instrumentals. Takes you away to a land of beauty. If you also grew up with Italian music in your home, you may especially enjoy this version of standard favorites such as Santa Lucia and La Donna E Mobile. I consider this movie as the Italian Americans' "Pearl Harbor". Lots of heroism in the movie and the music elaborates on that with spendor.Free Music Review: Great music

Great music by Warbeck. Still have a Shakespeare in Love tune in my head and now some new music. Searched for ages for this CD in the United States and finally broke down and bought it in the UK. I grew up with Greek and Italian music and that is one of the reasons I bought this CD in addition to absolutely loving the movie. The music is original and traditional. "The Mandolin" is perfection. I bought this soundtrack without having read the book or seen the movie. It was recommended to me by a friend. I felt that it was just so-so. Some of the tracks left me cold although I thought the mandolin music was wonderful. Later I read the book as I played it. Now I love it.
