Reprise Import, for instance, features Watson's finest recording of the popular "That's Amore. This version is one of the best I've heard --- it's a stunner to hear Watson's smooth and silky pop voice.

Similarly, both Cds have "The Living Year's" and is, from every standpoint, Watson's best treatment of the Rutherford/Robertson classic; not least because it is sung with more beautiful and heartfelt results. In a nutshell, the singer himself is simply better: he's packing more emotional punch in these Reprise recordings. He's still crafting the same deceptively 'artless' works of art, but he projects a greater range of emotion, including enthusiasm. If there are any weaknesses in his voice, they're employed to emotional advantage.

Then there's the amazing breath control: just try singing along; you'll be gasping for air long before the master takes his next breath.

So there's lots of reasons why new fans of Watson should acquire this or the Reprise import set before purchasing any other Cd. It's brilliant and unforgettable.
