I first checked this CD out simply because he shares my last name. However, I'm very glad I did. It's different and unique from mainstream and even traditional country, but it's great to hear something different. It's obvious this music comes directly from what the artist feels and loves to sing. He didn't put this stuff together trying to get noticed or get on the radio. He simply put together music he loves to play.
My favorites are Bread and Water, Dollar A Day, and The Other Side. All the tracks are good, though. Check out the clips and see what you think. If it sounds interesting to you, I recommend buying it.

Truly a great new artist, and he will be big in no time at all. His combination of lyrics, guitar work, and gritty voice make for some of the best alt-country produced in a long while.
